Anyone with a childhood in the 90s will definitely feel this. It feels like 4pm on a Wednesday afternoon in the spring after long day at school, all is simple and right with the world. No worries, no stress. Gosh I miss those days...
This song is a muscular 2nd. The song " I love your Smile " gives a Refreshing Vibe that essentially makes you smile and the video itself was so FITTING !!!
Oh my! I LOVE this extended version with the long intro and blend at the end. LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT! My goodness, I made so much money back then with not a care in the world. NYC was the greatest place to grow up!!! THANK YOU for this memory lane song!
U kno it! 4 some reason this tuuuunnnee popped in2 my head yesterday - SO glad I didn’t ignore it! Going str8 in2 my ”Bangin’ Tunes” playlist!!! 😁😁😁🤘🏾🤘🏾🤘🏾
@@ronlewis8601 The remakes can never capture the magic of the original. The writers today don’t write that well and it would come off corny. Just look at all of the remakes that have flipped. They need to leave the original alone.
Michael Angelo Saulsberry of Portrait produced this track. It sounds like something that group would have released at the time and it's an ethereal sound.
Probably my most favorite single by Shanice. #14 is certainly a respectable chart position, but, it deserved so much more. The video drips with Shanice's sunny charm and hip, contemporary choreography. Under Berry Gordy's Motown, this would have been major!
Bochanable yeah. Unfortunately Jheryl busby (May he RIP) dropped the ball and didn’t promote her the way she should have. I still respect him, but facts are facts.
Tashema Oates aka Lady T she deserves to be more known, that’s for sure. As I said, Jheryl seriously dropped the ball on not promoting her as well as he could and should have. The same thing happened with Ralph Tresvant before he left MCA (he and Louil Silas Jr. seriously dropped the ball on him big time). When she was at LaFace, LA & ‘Face, along with Silas, dropped the ball on her top. Underrated doesn’t even begin to describe Shanice.
Day Ja You are so right about the track and her vocals, man. Michael Angelo Saulsberry from the group Portrait wrote and produced this joint; you can hear it. And thank you, Day Ja!
Tre707 thank you so much for this. Goosebumps listening to this. Remember when extended versions of any songs were the norm. We need everyone who grew up doing this time or are fans of the 90's to bump the 90's any chance they get!! We also need 90's artists to come out with New 90's music Let's make the 90's great again!!😎😎
The 90’s were great. I gate the saying make the 90’s great again because it sounds like Trump. The opposite of what the 90’s were about. The 90’s were about having fun and feeling good everyone danced and got along. Now with Trump there is so much hate and division.
I had the pleasure of spinning this on college radio! I would turn this up way loud and me and the program crew would be dancing and sanging right along! Miss the days and I like the mix you put on here! Peace!
Wow, I didn't know Portrait had something to do with this song. I love this song and still love and listen to Portrait!!! It's in my car....":On and On" and Yours Forever"....ever since Honey Dip and Here we Go....Still blasting and jammin' in 2018!!!
This is still the early nineties coming out of the late '80s and still had that 80 sound and feel. The music did'nt really start changing from that 80's style sound until after 1994 grunge sound came in. But this is so smooth, keeep up the good work baby 👤 📻🎶🎶💃🏾💕💕🎶
This is definitely a 90-91-92-93 groove. Sounds like infanthood memories lol thanks Tre404 I really appreciate it! Wow being a kid in the 90's, hearing your mother singing these fun loving 90's song. Wouldn't change my poor but rich childhood for no one! The 90's were the shit!! I don't know what that shit is they play on the radio today!!!
This is one of my fave songs , so happy it's extended lol fulfill my desire. Thank you! Love it! Shanice should be bigger than what she is , such a beautiful soul & voice
