Shank full game speedrun, Normal Difficulty w/ everything unlocked. In-game time: 43m17s
Shank 2 was the one of the first games that brought me to speedrunning back many years ago. I never took the time to play or speedrun the first game for some reason but I finally did it.
As far as I remember this game is slower paced compared to its sequel and the combat is less complex due to the pounce and throw attacks that are very strong.
There's not much into the technical side other than doing every as fast as I can while memorizing the enemy patterns and knowing when reloading checkpoints save time. I still have to put some practice into it to figure out better uses for the grenades in some areas.

great shank run, has a few rough edges-- but definitely solid. i feel as if just divebombing with out machete alt is faster than with it-- since most trash mobs can get killed within two pounces-- it'd probably be faster mobbing if you just pounce-chained them each

Thanks! I think I understand what you mean but the problem is that enemies not always wake up fast enough and sometimes they start dodging right after they wake up, making it impossible to pounce attack them fast enough.

their ai behavior can be manipulated in that changing targets will make them change their course of actions-- specially after they stand up to reset, just pounce on someone else and they will stop directly focusing you and will opt for a more defensive routine each time you do a machete wipe you lose about a second, while pouncing from enemy-to-enemy would probably save you a good chunk of time due to how many trash mobs can be 2-shot by them. always change your targets inbetween each character and you should be fine unless there's only 1 on-screen, then machete wipe would be obviously better. if that doesn't work, then maybe it's my end, that's the way the ai has always acted for me.
