Shannen Doherty Recalls Learning of Husband's Alleged Affair Before Surgery 

We are losing our civilized society. Morals and standards of how we treat others is disappearing.

My husband cheated for 1 full year before I found out. I found out on my FAMILY VACATION. My family was trying to enjoy our Family Vacation and his mistress was literally tracking us in real time from 2700 miles away! She knew where we were and what we were doing! I have all the sympathy in the world for all the other men and women out there who have gone through infidelity discovery. Poor Shannon. Such a strong woman!

Shannen has always been a tough girl, but nobody should have to be this tough. So heartbreaking.

How could he do that? He cheated on her before the surgery! Shes dealing with a major crisis and he cheats on her!thats heartbreaking!💔

How cruel. Shannon is honestly an inspiration for any woman. Imagine going through cancer and the insecurities, body image issues, grief, fear that comes with it and then having to deal with the excruciating pain, grief and self esteem hit that being cheated on gives you. I'm so sorry Shannon.

I have a friend that had cancer and while she was going through treatment found out her husband was having an affair. She survived the cancer and ended up divorced. I have since found out this is not uncommon. A lot of men will leave their wives when the wife is faced with a serious illness. Most women will stay with their husbands when the husband is faced with a serious illness.

What a strong lady! Man, she had a heavy betrayal.

I can relate to the betrayal while having life saving surgery last year i discovered later on that the ex husband was looking online for another woman. I came out of hospital traumatised, trying to cope with his mood swings he moved out nine weeks later, 7 months later he txted me while with the girlfriend that he was divorcing me. In less than a year i nearly died, my husband left, had an affair i then had to leave our home as he was the main wage earner. I moved in with my dad and i have been this year putting my life back together and healing from the trauma. I have more surgery coming in the new year i am grateful for family, friends and work colleagues( i volunteer at a charity shop) and a councillor who have helped me this past year. I know i didn't cause the breakup thats all on the ex.

My heart goes out to her. Having to go through all this AND deal with a cheating husband. I really hope that she gets through this and can find someone who will always be by her side.

Ug that soon to be ex husband of her’s he is a narcissist to do that to your wife when she fighting cancer stage 4 and having neurosurgery. My best friend died of breast cancer and he found someone within 3 months they were together years and 1 million dollars in life insurance some men are just scum 😢

Wow! They were together for 14 years, and married for 11, yet her douche bag husband, decided to have a 2 year affair? Why wait to finally get married after dating for 3 years, only to cheat??

The adultery is bad enough but when you discover it’s a friend who your husband repeatedly told you he couldn’t stand it’s a double betrayal as you struggle to deal with what did they say about you when you were confiding things to your friend, hurtful beyond anything you can imagine, a stranger would be less cruel. I found out about the cheating when the news was all about Shania Twain and her adulterous husband with her best friend and you think if it can happen to that beautiful talented singer what chance do us ordinary women have.

This was heart wrenching! She deserves better!

We were diagnosed in the same week, same cancer, same treatments and surgeries. And I was so in awe of how loving and supportive her guy was since mine had me feeling so very alone in my cancer. Then this and I’m so angry for her because she loved him so very much.

I married a man after three years of dating. Three months after our wedding, I found out that he was in a five year relationship with a woman even before he and I got together. I asked him why he would do such a thing, he said that I was the one who provided financial security. That we were a power couple while the other girl was a dead end. I filed for divorce four days later. I called the girl and apologized. I told her I had no idea she even existed. I haven’t dated since.

Such a shame she has had such an incredibly difficult time, but what an amazing woman. So resilient and strong. I am sure she has here moments but you can see her inner beauty that radiates from her soul. I hope she can get remission and live a peaceful life filled with love. 🙏❤️🌺

omg I'm recovering from a benign brain tumor and have experienced similar things in my dating life... they make me feel "unloved" as she said. I thought I was the only one who can't find a good guy during this hard time I'm faced with this illness. I loved watching Shannen Doherty in "Charmed", "Heathers" and "Beverly Hills 90210", etc I was diagnosed in 2015 too.

I think he was there waiting for her to die so he can benefit financially and he didn't have the guts to leave her while she was battling cancer. He was expecting her to die quickly and maybe she wasn't fun to be around with her sickness maybe he needed a better life, a nice healthy woman he can have a future with, without hurting Shanen but she stayed for too long I guess for him to hide his double life. Im not saying he's right or wrong, I'm just trying to analyse the situation. But it must be heartbreaking for her, especially that she expressed how worried she was for him in case she dies, she thought he will be devastated beyond repair. The guy had already a backup plan! She was dead wrong about him.

God I love this Woman. No matter what shit is thrown at her she just picks herself up and bloody deals with it. Shannen keep on fighting you wonderful Lady ❤️

3 marriages, 3 divorces, her father's illness and death, career struggles and her own illness...she had a very difficult life but she lived it on her own terms. She fought up until the last minute...may she rest in peace for eternity.

The energy we give out comes back to us, no one is exempt. A secure attachment personality style wouldn’t feel comfortable having an affair. A fearful avoidant attachment personality style and also a dismissive avoidant attachment personality style would feel comfortable. A pre occupied anxious attachment personality style would entertain an affair only because they have a fear of abandonment but they would feel very uncomfortable having an affair even if they know their partner was stepping out of the relationship. This is because pre occupied anxious people act out of fear (they enter the affair going against their core values so it creates even more anxiety) so those usually fall apart very quickly. Here’s the thing, since a secure attachment personality style has an empathic heart with healthy boundaries they’re NOT going to be attracted to someone already in a relationship. The only personality types you will attract if you’re having an affair are either fearful avoidant attachment personality styles or dismissive avoidant attachment personality styles only. There’s your karma you attract that energy you put out and attract either a narcissist to participate in the affair with you or you attract an empath without healthy boundaries also known as pre occupied anxious. Either way the affair will be more work on your part to keep it alive and you will either be a parent to an infant or you will be the infant throwing tantrums. Either way it’s not a desirable relationship to enter into. Trust me people are coming clean with their experiences in affairs and it’s never as easy going and fulfilling as it seems. Shannon is beautiful she’s strong and she has a wonderful support system family friends fans she has more people loving her so she doesn’t need that creepy guy. When Chris Watts and Nicole Kessingers affair was exposed, nobody though that was sexy they thought it was creepy weird and psycho especially after he murdered his family. Let the cheaters be creepy by themselves with the mentally handicapped people that are okay with being in affairs.

No fun going through sn illness by yourself! I sm facing an illness by myself Really don't have any friends and family close. They day they sre there for me, it really hasn't happened. Going through doctor appointments by myself...sucks. Facing financial things by myself. Its scary!

Omg, what a lowlife her husband is, he kicked her when she was at her lowest, not saying she isnt strong: Just that when she needed him the most, he hurt her the most.

Happened to me but it wasn't cancer i had. I was very ill and had many difficulties. My ex left me for another woman. Come to find out he'd been seeing her for awhile, even tho he denied it.

I remember when she was a young troubled actress. But now I see real growth because of her illness. I just wish her all the best now and want her to know that she is such a fighter.

For those who highlight HIS difficulties...being afraid is just an excuse. Of course, this situation is complicated and everyone could handle it differently. Cheating is not among those accectable reactions. If the gender were inverted, the woman would be insulted by almost everyone. It's bitter that women are supposed to be the natural caregivers when men have health issues, but in the contrary situations men just "might feel afraid". Is the courage hidden in ladies panties?

My dad did the same thing to my mother. He was actively trying to replace her as she was dying and she knew it was happening. Obviously I can’t stand my father. I don’t think all men are like this at all, but there certainly are quite a few dirt bags out there.

I am so sorry of her passing, and about what her husband did while going through this of course I went through something similar I did not have cancer but my children passed and my husband was having I believe to affairs among other things. But then it just doesn't even matter at the end about them. So proud how she handled it, for me he was out of here. And did not look back because I have three precious souls I have to take care of my grandchildren. My father did the same thing to my mother! While my mom was battling uterine cancer he was sleeping with a stripper. He was some stripper's sugar daddy, paying her bills and such while my mom's getting a hysterectomy!
