Brady's ego didn't get in his way. he was perfectly willing to stay with the Patriots, but Belichick made it clear he didn't want Brady around. It was Brady who kept the good players around, and took salary cuts to pay them. Players were willing to play for Belichick because of Brady.

@VanquishedAgain lmbo... He was going to stay. But you can't stay when you aren't offered a contract. Hey brainiac. He took a BOTTOM of the basement deal for 2 years at 25 mill each year when (from Tampa Bay) Russell Wilson and Aaron Rodger ( 2 bums in comparison) were making 45 mill a year. Yeah... BeliDork had all of you fools fooled. Not only did he push Brady out. If you had half a brain you would have come to the next conclusion. He pushed him out FOR Cam Newton. You guys are such numbnuts. The Patriots did not want to commit anything to Tom because they themselves did not believe in Tom. They just wanted to rebuild, so they wanted and expected Tom to lose with JV cast. @@pheynx7573yeah and when Kraft forced Bill to not trade Brady Bill went out of his way to start not signing any offensive weapons nor draft good receivers for Brady to make Brady look awful in 2018 and 2019. Then Mac has a decent rookie season and Bill wants to make it seem like he’s the reason why Mac was good and stops giving him an oc and refuses to get him weapons watch Belichick is going to do something this off-season and Mac will improve solely because Belichick can say oh I fixed him I’m the greatest coach. Defense SAVED the Falcons superbowl ( yes, it did because they gassed the Falcons and held them to nothing ) and of course.. that last Rams superbowl was predicated on defense for both teams. Now look back to the original 3 superbowls and tell me those weren't stout defensive teams and people weren't taking risks. Stop. Brady would have faded away on ANY other team. The refs blew it against the Raiders in 2001. I mean c'mon man. I'd say 3 or 4 of his rings are legit. 3 of those the kicker won them the game. Montana was 4-0 in the SB dominating every single one.

I said for years that Brady allows the patriot way to exist. People were bought in to Brady, not Bill. And having Brady be able to lead top 5 offenses every year regardless of personnel meant Bill could draft defense in the first round every year. It meant he could sign the best free agent corner every few years. Bill was basically able to ignore the offensive side of football for 15 years. If tom had never left, he would have never won or even sniffed at another ring... him leaving allowed him to stop mahomes one more time.. "the baby goat" was set and ready for take off into NFL stratosphere if he had gone back to back, and Brady, once again like Mahomes kryptonite he is, stopped his pursuit one more time, with a brand new team, that was ranked one of the worst just a year prior... they won doing it Toms way.. what he needed and wanted, Bruce was a place holder.. a fun one, but just a figure head.. Tom was running fucking everything... they wanted him to... Like i said, i hate that brady didnt play out his career here, but him leaving allowed him to set a few more real GOAT records, undeniably establish his legend, and stick it to the PATIROTS of all people!!! its a story that couldnt have been written better and its no better fitting than to be the story of, Tom Brady.... we as pats fans should be so grateful and gracious to have watched it unfold, over 20+ years with toothpicks and microscopes, we got to romanticize and fawn over our beloved, hansom, godlike, PERFECT HUMAN, my idol... Even Brees had better longer tenured white receivers and running backs Yes, aside from Gronk and a cup of coffee with Moss, he had mediocre offensive players around him

Yeah, it was Tom brady who single handedly held the Rams to 3 points in 2019 and 17 in 2002. He also stifled the Chiefs offense, holding them to just 3 FGs. Crazy how only one team put up 30+ points on the Pats they lose that Super Bowl, but that ones on Bill, too. Along with the Giants SB losses in 2008 and 2012. tom had a special ability : not arm strength, not accuracy, not a special roster. it was a combination of decision making in every circumstance and a brother like relationship with his teammates which contributed to a continuous success. if a non a pro bowler like edelman is able to make a playoff decisive performance, it all comes down to a great performing qb and the struggles of present day patriots are a proof of his influence on the pitch.

Belichick is a great defensive coordinator, but his draft record is decidedly mixed and he's rarely tried to use free agency to get receivers to compensate for his weakness drafting the position. I think he's a great coach, but a coach has so much less of an impact on the team than the players, especially the QB. It's hard to see Kyle Shanahan, Andy Reid, Sean McVay, or Mike McDaniel making this mistake.

BB kept Tom because he was the cheapest option. He never for ONE SECOND saw Brady as a or the starter. Evidence by the fact he gave Bledsoe the highest contract in the history of the game at that in the off season. If it wasn't for Mo Lewis BeliDork is fired within another season. He would have NEVER played Brady. Belidork is not the person for the drafting of Tom Brady. His qb coach at the time begged him to. With his 9th pick of the day, a throwaway pick, he did so to please Dick Rehbein, who would die a year later. Then BeliChump wanted to get rid of Brady after the 1st three SB's by not offering him a contract (tte same way hi did it in the end). But Kraft went around him and did the deal. BeliDork was ALWAYS effing it up. it was Brady that made him look good.

The desire in the football world for drama between Belichick and Brady is amazing. It's always seemed pretty clear to me that the conflicts were between Kraft and Belichick, so Tom leaving mostly freed him from drama, while Bill got to keep the drama, and had to teach some new kid how to lead a team. It's impossible to win in this league without a good QB, and as the draft teaches us every year, as it taught us with Tom Brady, scouting is basically a crap shoot, and no one is good at evaluating who will take to the NFL grind, and who wont, especially under center.

The Patriots won the division in 11 consecutive seasons from 2009-19 and won it in 17/18 seasons with Brady under center. Under Bill Belichick, the Patriots have failed to win the AFC East just 6 times. The 2020, 2021, and 2022 seasons marked the 1st time under him that they went 3 seasons without winning the division. They've also missed the playoffs in 2 of the last 3 years and haven't won a playoff game since 2018. 1.) Bill Belichick has a worse record without Tom Brady, 81-93 (.465%), (.472% in NE) than Rex Ryan an average coach, 61-66 (.480%) 2)Belichick made the playoffs just 22 percent of the time without Tom Brady and he is 1-2 in those games.(The latest an embarrassing 47-17 beat down at the hands of Josh Allen and the Bills) Bill Belichick in 11 seasons of coaching without Tom Brady: 81-93 Record 42-43 at Home 31-67 vs .500 teams (16-38 w/NE) 55-70 w/1st Round Picks at QB 67-76 w/Pro Bowl QBs 7 losing seasons. 0 Superbowls. 0 conference titles. 0 division titles. 1 playoff win. Patriots were 15-3 in BB and Brady's first 18 games together. Games started by Brady in those games in 2001 the Patriots offense averaged 26.6 PPG which would've been second in the NFL in scoring offense that season behind only the greatest show on turf Rams who led the league in scoring averaging 31.4 PPG. In his 6 years as a head coach before 2001, BB had never had a top 10 ranked scoring offense. The Patriots offense was ranked 25th in ppg scored in 2000 with Bledsoe(4x pro bowler) as the QB. In 2001, Brady's first year as the starter, the Patriots were ranked 6th in scoring offense. Belichick’s “system” 2001: 6 PPG increase with Brady 2008: 11 PPG decrease without Brady 2016: 10 PPG increase with Brady 2020: 6 PPG decrease without Brady Maybe BB is a "system coach." 🐸☕️

People forget Brady's goal is to win, no matter what. The Pats team was average at best in 2020, especially with Gronk gone. Even Brady realized he wouldn't have his best chance to win if he stayed in NE, so he left to Tampa who had a top 5 defense. There, he convinced Gronk, AB, and even Fournette to join him, before making history. If Brady stayed with the Pats, he still probably could have convinced AB to join him, but Gronk would likely stay retired, thus drastically reducing the chance of him winning his 7th. Him going to Tampa was the best thing he could have done in that situation.

I keep seeing people talk about Shannon wasn’t like this on undisputed. Shannon admitted that Brady should take the most credit on undisputed, go search for the episode if y’all like. He just left before the patriots had this sh*t season as it is now

Joe Gibbs was a better coach, 3 superbowls with 3 different QBs, none of which are in the hall of fame. Fight me.

What I find amazing is noone thinks that the best QB and the Winningest SuperBowl QB ,who also happens to work the hardest AND took less money to bring in more talent can expect LOYALTY and Admiration and Respect and a 5 year extension. If Anyone deserved to be highest paid QB it should have been him.Belichick was evil and selfish and vindictive and he deserves to be known as the "Coach who was nothing without Tom Brady "

@@TBDtribute I know Tom will NEVER admit it,but he wanted to play past 47.I also think if he received Pro Bowl protection from an Offensive Line,he would not only be able to play past 46 yrs old, and he would still be top 5 statistically.

@@TBDtributeNew England deserved Tom Brady but Bill Belichick most certainly didn't. When he first picked Tom over Bledsoe he was new and a Good faith Actor, but later he grew jealous of Tom Brady and actively took steps to undermine Tom Brady and actively took step to lose a SuperBowl and a playoff game because his jealousy of Tom Brady became more important than team success. Even Bill Parcells new that Belichick was nothing without Tom Brady, if you recall it was Bill Belicheck benching his Pro Bowl center right before a playoff game against the Jets because he made fun of Bill Parcells foot fetish. You fine a player but you don't sit him in an important game with SuperBowl implications.Parcells new Belichick had dark intentions and threw the game and that's why BILL Belichick will never win anything without Tom Brady. Without Tom Brady he is a disgrace. Bill Belichick was a hall of fame Defensive Coordinator who got to pretend to be a great Head coach because of Tom Brady and now the whole World knows this to be true.
