Well, there’s some truth to that but at the same time you do need a strong supporting cast to help you win a championship. I would not pay 160 million even if you decide to pay 100 million 60 million is still a piece of chunk of change to get some good quality players depending on how much your cap is at that particular time.

LeBron is still playing at such a high level, he shouldn’t have to take a pay cut. However.... If LeBron wants a legitimate chance to compete for a championship, & stay in LA at the same time, then he’s gonna need the right pieces around him, & that will cost money the Lakers don’t have. If his goal is to win another championship, then his best bet might be to take a pay cut, & even then, he’s gambling a little bit by remaining with the Lakers.
