I can only imagine the level of heartbreak this family is enduring from this real life horror. However, she is 100% right about the general lack of coverage by the media and the personal efforts that black people go through just for something to be done. How many times has justice been denied because they're not being taken seriously and the overall apathy towards black people?! And I can't believe they're not pressing charges! The United States has no jurisdiction over Mexico. This case was botched by Mexico from the beginning not only that Mexico autopsy vs USA do not match therefore no charges can be brought because if they bring charges and they get off double jeopardy is attached meaning that can't be retried. The question I have is why Mexico didn't do a toxicology report. The USA can't do it because she's been embalmed. Such a tragedy.

The US needs to extradite the person charged of femicide back to Mexico and allowed that court process to be played out. Especially since the US has not filed charges. Justice should be served for this young woman either here or there but there could be better. Prison in Mexico is no joke and 100 times worse than here. The Mexican government has done their part by issuing the arrest warrant now we are waiting for anyone anywhere to apprehend the woman that the warrant is for to be capture and arrested or she can turn herself over to the Mexican authorities. If, she is arrested here in the United States or any other country she may wave expedition. I am not sure what happens if she waves expedition back to Mexico. This is another question that needs to be addressed by a professional experience attorney.
