I love how all of Risky's lines are reduced to "blah blah blah" Like, Shantae obviously heard what she's saying since she's able to make witty retorts, but she honestly just doesn't care enough to remember the specifics.

Maybe there's more to her character motivation in the full game, but what has Holly ever done that's remotely villainous? She was motivated to make a deal with (evil) Shantae just so that people would remember her. Doing charity work and wanting to be remembered don't seem evil. Siccing your (giant, ugly) pet on people, maybe a little evil.
I don't know, but I do feel bad for Holly in Friends to the End when she was forgotten in a very sad way. Wonder what her bargain would be like anyway?

In the original story, Holly STEALS the memories of everyone in Scuttletown, and then fed them to Wilbur, whom we can assume is a lot more than just a big worm. She hoped to become the strongest memory via eliminating others. Pretty evil IMOHO. Maybe not "Darth Vader strength" evil, but still evil.
Now then, Holly might've wanted all the attention to herself because she might've never had parents that actually loved her. I mean, her parents neglecting and forgetting her is what makes Holly the person she really is. But if Holly comes back, I just hope it's in the role of a hero, possessing a life sized Holly plush, with a special Memory Weaver weapon, just like Sora's keyblade, having no memory of her past, while a more human version torments her with memories of the past. HER PAST, NO LESS. Wilbur, Holly's pet is Holly's only friend with a real mind, just like a human. He only feeds on memories to remember Holly, until the day is right to summon Holly again. But, Holly's child conscious and spirit has somehow found its way out of her world and enters another world to escape from the torment she faced in her before life. In the meantime, Holly's before life was sad, for her, and for her mind.

I think people need to stop complaining about how this dlc is basically the same game You guys realize you’re asking for a fully animated unique dlc almost as long as the main campaign for relatively cheap? Yall too entitled to know how things work?
Well basically this game is all a about same level again and again and again So, of course they saved so much time to make animation and cinematics I liked the game but it still felt repetitive while playing. It feels a little bit poor somewhere..
It’s not that bad when you get to play as others besides Shantae. Also I like how in Risky’s story, the regular enemies are replaced with ones from the older games. (Probably didn’t get the chance to be in the main game due to time). The ones where Shantae wears different costumes are literally more arcade based so that makes it very different.
I how that if they release sequel to this game, they have a gimmick revolving around Nega-Shauntae... It would make sense for her to not be completely gone from Shauntae, and it would be cool to see the Altered dances/transformations... I think a Altered Warp Spell would be amazing to see (Where Nega-Shauntae warps under the enemy and strikes). But then the story would be somewhat weird... :b
A few dance ideas: 1. Warped Death: teleports to nearest enemy to instakill them. Doesn't work for bosses though 2. DarkStorm: This causes a bunch of power to immediately shock the contest up in darkness 3. Steal Regin: This steals health and magic from enemies and regenerates Nega Shantae back 4. Rage-Forcememt: Any enemy within an area can work against other enemies to defend you
Forms: 1. Venomus Spider: This can grapple to things farther from your reach 2. Mini Tank: Any crouch based powers are enhanced by the use of aiming and firing from below 3. Hangry Wolf: Charge into anything with mad hunger to gravely hurt your enemies, rocks, and even pounce at them from above 4. Murderous Mermaid: Swims under water, but her swimming skill is more killer than Shantae's 5. Killer Hawk: Gives you the power of flight

She's the litteral manifestation of shantae's negative emotions and self loathing, as well as her insecurities born thanks to dark magic. She feeds on theses negative emotions to become stronger and keep existing .
actually now that I have seen it I feel like it more so reminds me of the pose Recoome uses in the Ginyu forces pose thing but where he's facing the camera
here's a tip for all the bosses i did this on my second try to see if its effective use rotty tops always and keep throwing your head towards the enemy as long as the landing area is safe rotty is invincible while she is throwing it makes a pretty easy but long bossfight too bad i only discovered this after i finished all the friends to the end mode lol
15:00 I feel like the timing was perfect when Rottytops rose back up and made the eye fly. Or if it’s when the eye hits the head, it caused it to fly back to Wilbur.
As much as I hate to kill a nice round of lulz, Rotty's dismemberment/reassemblement was part of her character as far back as 2002 (when she used her leg to open the first game's third dungeon)
Because they initially had full voice acting planned, but the final script was changed repeatedly in between the planned recording sessions of various voice actors, forcing the devs to use sound bytes from already recorded lines since they couldn't afford a complete re-do without breaking budget and production deadlines, while also fulfilling their legal obligations they were required to fulfill the stretch goal of "voice acting" from the initial crowdfunding effort. In the end, they got the chopped up lines re-done as actual proper sound-bytes after final release, and adopted that as an audio style for the rest of the game and it's DLC.
Damn, they weren't joking when they said it took hours trying to save Shantae. o.O Originally, it didn't seem like it actually took that long, simply giving her a pep talk, but with this DLC you fight all the bosses as those other characters, and then it's like... yeah, LOL. XD
I think it's more a matter of how easy it is to land a hit. Sky's birds cover the entire screen in a line and rapid fire, so she'd have to do less damage to avoid instantly murdering bosses. Meanwhile Rotty is only strong if you're three inches away from her, and Bolo is the middle ground.
Check Shadowserg's Shantae Half Genie Hero Boss Rush to see my opinion on a Shantae/Kirby crossover Boss Rush for the other bosses I suggested. In that, Galactica Knight follows Nega-Shantae after she is KO'ed, and Nega-Shantae can use Marx's Black Hole (Victims are beaten up by Genderbenders and exit backdropped.), Magmin (Fire), Naga (Bomb), and Centaur (Cutter) in addition to what else she does. Meta Knight can also be used. Galactic Knight's pattern is the same, but his attacks are stronger. Also, the bosses use their Story Mode descriptions and titles.
I think Skye dislikes Rotty because she and her brothers were accomplices to Risky in Risky's revenge (Though Risky essentially Backstabbed them in that game, which is why her Po and Abner really hate Risky in Pirate's Curse onward). And I guess Rotty just doesn't like Skye's attitudes towards her.
My only complaint: Nega-Shantae'd transformations are completely black, instead of being evil recolors like she is. ... that, and I suppose it bugs me that Nega-Shantae and Risky have different eye colors in their portaits, than they do in their sprites.
The characters are the main draw for me. The fanservice is nice, but I just love seeing their interactions. The levels imo can also be creative , with my personal favourite being Mudbog Island. Art style is beautiful. Gameplay switches up enough that it's interesting. It has platforming but a lot of levels aren't even about platforming like the Battle Tower. And Shantae herself is just an adorable and great character. There's a reason she's in a lot of people's wish lists for SSB fighters
Actually Bolo and Shantae have a Brother and Sister relationship say to the Wikipedia. in Shantae and the pirate curse Good ending Rottytops called Bolo Snack cakes and he blushed,so I think Bolo likes Rottytops but he's doesn't know it yet

This and Pirate Queen's Quest is DLC and it's lazy as all hell, and this is coming from someone that likes this game. Pirate Queen's Quest is basically just Hardcore Mode with a better character with a final boss that was more or less a palette swap of the Risky fight from the main story. Friends to the End is just the main campaign with more frustrating bullshit thrown at you and a final boss that is literally just a palette swap of Pirate Queen's Quest's final boss. It's going to get even worse as the Costume DLC is going to be released and it's just going to be the main/Hardcore campaign with a power-up.
