Shantae vs Rottytops - Race

Ironically Shantae would later have to carry Rotty in Pirate's Curse.

This was infuriating. No matter what I did I would always jump into the rock instead of over it. Ended up abusing save states just to beat it lol.

Never seen gameplay of this game until now, I first saw screencaps of this on a Nintendo Power issue as a kid. Didn't expect the graphics and music to be THIS good. O_O

This race used to drive me nuts,it was awesome but I would get so mad when I lost by one misclick😂😂😂I love this game.

This reminds me. That stray blue pixel on Shantae's face. Is that supposed to be blush? I think it is, but to me it always looked like some weird way to represent grit teeth.

All of these people are shocked about the tree. What can I say, it's like Sequin Land's classic game of Wood-Zombie-Lumberjack. Wood beats Zombie.

Very punishing, one time I even lost the race without crashing into anything just because I accidentally slowed down ONCE for like a second at a bad moment. I realized depending on what part of the race you are, some mistakes are recoverable, but there's a point once crossed where no matter how good you are doing even the slightest mistake will cost you the race, no matter what. In short; best solution is to memorize the obstacles and play it perfectly.

Who knew zombie races had so little room for error?
