Hi everyone, thank you all for your wonderful comments. We shot this film over 3 long days and had great feedback on the movie. We’ve had several request for a sequel or part 2. Hoping to get funding, we have already began writing the storyline for a featured film. We will try keeping everyone informed as we make progress. If all goes well, our goal is to start filming by sometime in Spring of next year.
You’re honestly not wrong about that. I’ve wished that I’ve known about this film earlier myself, along with this group. Sadly, I had to leave Memphis recently because at the time, I couldn’t find an affordable, safe place to live in and once it was finally announced that my workplace would give a raise, it was too late. The final nail on the coffin being that someone stole my gym bag and broke my car window while I was at Young Avenue Deli one night. In any case, I still stand by my word that Bruce Lee would’ve been so proud to see this if he was still alive. Memphis isn’t known for its Asian community usually so watching films like these gives me some hope that if perhaps Memphis improves its crime rate that I would give it another chance.
Watching the skill of these Memphis cats improve incrementally like this is a treat. I can't wait until the day I can buy a feature length Blue Lion or Mason Studios DVD and put it on my shelf.

The fight choreography is tight. Easily as good as a handful of action movies I've watched in the last ten years. Looks like Ryan has leveled up his speed and been really practicing behind the scenes. I love it! Memphis looks good too. For some constructive criticism, and this is coming from the self-acknowledged peanut gallery: the directing style is a bit flat. Everyone is "kinda" feeling the way they're supposed to in any given scene. Take 6:17. Notice how Ryan pauses a couple times to catch his breath and interrupts his dialogue, which is good, right up until he delivers this line without any breaks. It comes off as slightly awkward. I'm not a director, but I would've broken this up a bit more. Maybe Ryan's character is just a little more worn out, and his sensei is a little more satisfied that his pupil appears to be learning. Maybe a quick cutaway to a reverse shot with a reaction from sensei where he smirks with "when you don't know what their next move is going to be" etc. Either way, the setup is fun, the characters are moving well, and I could easily believe this was part of a feature length based on the visuals.
This was thoroughly entertaining! I'd love to see the back story of what happened between Logan and sifu. I hope there will be a part II...a sequel or prequel!
