Shape, Value and Edge - The Art Basics when Drawing with Graphite Pencil 

Hi Guys.
In this video I will be telling you about the three most important art basics you need to know about when drawing with graphite pencils. And those are shape, value and edge. They are also called the elements or building blocks of art, and there are seven of those, but I chose the three most important to make this tutorial easy.
- Shape is necessary to create the object you are drawing
- Value defines the range from white over grey to black, and it's actually important to have a good balance, when you are planning, doing and giving and getting feedback on your drawing
- Edge is about the transition between the different shapes and areas of your drawing - there are soft edges and hard edges when drawing.
I am not going to go into the seven elements of art in this video as it is intended to be about the most important ones for drawing - and there is no need to have professor like knowledge to get and understand the basics. But understanding and combining these will eventually make you better at drawing.
