Shapes of Data Distributions and Appropriate Measures of Center and Variation 

This video looks at describing the shapes of histograms and symmetric, skewed left, skewed right. Based on their shape we can then choose the appropriate measure of center: mean or median and the appropriate measure of variation: standard deviation or the 5 number summary. This video includes four example histograms.
