the UI on this is truly beautiful, like any empty end output the shape that is being produced or is on the conveyer is flashing slightly enlarged to help you see whats going on, the north point indicator for the shape design, they really made this very user friendly.

OMg please do more of this. I wanna see how far you can take it, and what kind of insane blueprints you come up with.

You've been misleaded by shapez 1, now the first cutter allow the contraption of the two block cutter with trash hole after one of the exits, thus allowing for more compact designs

I'm so glad the demo is finally here for us! I can't wait for the full release. Shapez is such a great entry point into automation games for people who've never played the genre. No survival elements, no build time or construction cost, just pure automation! Excellent concept and execution!

I loved the first shapez so much , and have been following the development of shapez 2, can't wait to play it!

I got Shapez 1 free on Epic games. Played it a lot, and then it led me to Factorio, and subsequently, your channel. So this is pretty cool. I'm definitely interested in this sequel.

I saw you playing on the steam store page and was so offended that it wasn't on RU-vid... And here it is. I managed to play the demo for 15 hours before running out of optimization ideas. The full release is gonna be world ending.

You probably didn’t realise this when the video was made, but you can also launch objects from the second level, so each initial side of the vortex (and platforms) has 8 slots each.

This channel is worth it just to hear the joy in Nilaus's voice when he gets a new factory game.

I really enjoy building zero waste designs. The flexibility of the conveyor elevators make for some really interesting and compact designs. I do wish the controls for moving between floors was a single button toggle, I assume the devs are leaving room to have more than two floors. I'm sure you'll notice this, but you can take a belt and make it go 180, opposite, by switching floors. Meaning you can run a belt off of one side of a cutter by going up and back, then over the cutter and have the rotators on top of eachother. This makes it super easy to have all the belts in line for a stacker that doesn't go outside of a two wide footprint.

One thing I like about this new version is if a shape is no longer required it tells you with the red X at the vortex

i enjoy the first one quite a bit. I've been waiting forever for this come out.

for blueprints, initially I found the L shape is a red herring. If you simply chop the shield shape (that you are already making from the previous goal) in half with the new cutter, then stack it with a half circle, you can easily convert what you have already built to do 3/4 of the blueprint for you.

You know you care about a game when you pause an excellent video like this and play it for yourself!

shapez 1 was already great (I ended my playthrough by making a universal shape maker that solved the rest of the game) and shapez 2 already looks amazing too. Had that thing wishlisted since I finished the first one. I hope the performance will hold for very large factories since that was a slight problem in the end of shapez 1

In my opinion, this is not a factory game, but an entertaining logic puzzle. But very entertaining) And the goal of the game is to solve a Rubik's cube, only in a different way.

I knew that I could count on you Nilaus! Finally somebody that deletes old lines and starts on new shapes. The mess that other youtubers leave behind is almost embarrassing.

How many days after release until the first MAM (Make Anything Machine) builds? 1? 3?

Was very hard to throw away attachment to assembly lines, but with nothing being restricted by a cost sometimes you just have to tear it all up and rebuild.

I absolutely loved the original and I'm so psyched for the sequel. Everything I like about the original with a bunch of new features that add just the right amount of complexity and efficiency. Any clues as to when it might be ready?

With Shapez I created an environment with 4 auto-assemblers (can do everything except floating tiles). Lags a lot... On a Very beefy PC. 😅

I played Shapez to death with multipel different MAMs (Make Anything Machines), and it looks like Shapez 2 will be no different.

What is the end goal of this to make like a 3d printer type device?

Cool game, and it runs on OSX. Wish I had the money to buy it.

You're the first player of this demo version that I've seen work with the throughput of each part of the system to maintain optimum production levels, and you even put some parts of the buildings on the second level, which I've not seen anyone else do. Great stuff. I download the demo on my own PC but haven't been able to play with it as I've got a pinched nerve in my groin that has been giving me very sore nerve pain in my thigh that gets worse when I sit down.

i hope it doesn't have the same performance issues the original one had, this game called for super masive builds that lagged my pc to oblivion

my problem with this game is that there is no point keeping up with the old production. Like there is no point in holding onto the original build to maintain it. It's basically destroy it all after you are done.

I don't like games like that. I understand they are reducing all the fluff around automatization, but that - for me - takes away a lot of fun. Dyson sphere have elements where you can just take a break from the optimization, get your mind somewhere else, here is all the time same stuff. Sure this will be liked by some, but it is way too much of an excel formulas to my liking.

Nah, dont like it. I tried Shapez 1. It was too abstract and more puzzle solving than factory building. I think factory games need some sort of lore or world to be in. Shapez 2 is looking way prettier though.
