You do such great work. Not only are you restoring the beaver pond, but you've given the owners nice useable land. Land they can now keep bush-hogged and lovely. Thank you for sharing this with us all.
Chris, there is something strangely cathartic about watching you do this job (most jobs for that matter). I find myself able to really relax and even saw my heart rate drop about 10bpm. Next time I go to the doctor, I'm going to watch one of your videos so my blood pressure is real low. Thanks for taking the time to share your love of excavation with us wannabies!
I like watching this channel. I stumbled a crossed it a couple months ago, and then watched all of the videos (except the expos). I like your workmanship; attention to detail, and how to seem to explain your thinking in a manner that is easily understandable by a person who knows nothing about excavation activities.
That shore line will make that pond lookk and function so much better. Im sure theres more machine operaters like you that do the same work you do. You impress me on any job you do. God bless you my friend.
This kind of job is what got me interested in your channel. Its a nice change from the lot clearing and auction events we have been seeing. Thanks for posting this one. Mckinney. Tx.
The detailed planning that goes into successful outcome of these pond cleanup jobs is just as impressive as the outstanding skill level needed to make 100"s of yards of mud actually look good. You have to keep the machine from sinking as well as position it at the best spots to reach everything. Heavy equipment work of art. Truly a pleasure to watch
Wow ! Those beavers should be happy giving them the huge bath tub for them lol! That clean up bucket sure makes it look easy to grade mud for sure! Nicely dome.sir!
It looks good. Hopefully, you'll do an update down the road to show how it looks. You need to have a couple of beavers on hand to help speed up the flooding after you pull out of there, lol. Until then, you'll have to call this your special beaver bucket when doing jobs like this, lol.
I am stuck in a blizzard in Western Nebraska. Thank God Chris put up a video today to help me keep my sanity till weather figures out it is suppose to be spring.
I would be very interested in seeing a where are they now video or series featuring previous projects, it's awesome to see the build, but I feel like we're missing the final results.
He does do videos where he drives by a project he did previously. Thing is, he just doesn’t have the time to just drive around to all past projects. He’s been on RU-vid for about 12 years. If you watch regularly, you will see follow ups. When he stops at a previous project it’s only because he is in the area.
@@shitloveaduck they are an uncommon feature and I would like to see more of them. I have watched his entire video history and continue to watch daily, I got hit by a truck and had a lot of free time. I just wanted to encourage Chris to consider more updates.
@@colt_walker - you know Chris works 12 - 14 hour days, goes home and edits every night which takes at least an hour, then he has his chores. The only reason he such immense content is because he works so d*mn hard. He just doesn’t have the time. Now he has made a decent level of success, but he also is cornered because if he takes time away from working to drive around the vast area he has done jobs to satisfy a small portion of his watchers, he gets a few more videos, but then is behind on his work and has to work longer hours to get MORE content to create videos, then you want him to drive around to those jobs, etc. the two small ponds were 4 hours from his home and he was staying at the owner/client’s property. That one way, then there’s the opposite way and so on. YOU may have watched all the videos, but apparently you haven’t grasped the work it takes Chris to GET those videos. He produces generally within a few (3 or 4) days of when the work was done. That’s exceptional and unheard of when producing videos daily. What you want is a little selfish. Before you go saying I don’t understand your circumstances, I actually do understand. I became I’ll with auto-immune issues that forced me into retirement. I was essentially bed ridden for a few years, but have fought back and can do a lot more. There’s still a few hours of rest in each day & that is how I keep up. I enjoy the time on RU-vid with people like Chris. I went back and also watched all his videos. As well as quite a few other channels. No one,,, no one at all, has kept up like Chris has. If you haven’t learned that, it’s a fact. Please show some common sense in saying what you want without putting unreasonable demands on those that entertain us. No one else goes back on special trips to follow up the myriad of work they have done any different than Chris does. These guys work 320+ days a year! When they take a break, it’s for them,,, they need it. If you work 5 days a week each year you work about 271 days. These guys, especially Chris, have little time. He is booked right through to fall already. Sorry about the long comment, but maybe it will help you appreciate the actual work Chris generally does and how little time he has for himself and his family & friends. I am just trying to cut the poor guy a break!! Hahaha.
Your thoughts are well said and to the point. I have been watching Chris for 5-6 years and still can't comprehend how much time he puts in daily to do what he does.
Hi Chris, love relaxing in the evening with your wonderful videos. Especially when it has been a bad day/week. What I'm wondering is, have you stopped working for your uncle? Keep doing what you're doing, you're the best🤩
Build it and they will come. Once the pond starts filling up it will bring the beavers to it. Once they hear any water running through the damn, they'll start plugging it up. Funny you haven't seen any beaver homes around the pond, even old ones.
Beautiful property. There isn't anything Chris doesn't know about building a pond and dam. Love learning from him. 👍😍👏✨❤😍 P.S. Looking forward to when Christ returns to building the pond and pond dam on his property.
What a Brilliant Progress - Pond is now much Larger and You contoured the Banks - Fantastic - Tomorrow its Beaver Time - hey - looking Forward to that ! Cheers from Australia !!!!
Appreciate the outside video! I'm gone to chuckle about what you said about 'guess I need to buy a couple of beavers' to keep to beaver damn intact. Thoroughly enjoyed this video Chris! The project was somewhat out of the ordinary from what you usually do, but you have prevailed to make it happen. Kudos!
They say “Variety is the spice of life,” so I guess it’s ok to have a green can in your cup holder instead of a blue one. I used to love the blue ones till my doctor said “No sugar for you” so now I am addicted to the silver ones. The pond is looking 1000 times better, although the snakes may differ. Looking forward to the end result.
Front window open digging that ? Brave man 😎. That’s when Murphy’s Law gets you 😎. I worked for a municipality for 10 yrs as a heavy equipment operator & would do the lakes in the county w/a long boom . Start in the middle & reposition the piles out closer to the edge & load it out on trucks. I throughly enjoyed doing them , out in your own little world & satisfying w/the finished job 👍
The more I watch your videos the more I wish I was back running some kind of equipment. 20 ish years ago I ran equipment in the Forrest plumbing in gas wells to separators and tank batteries. I think building ponds and clearing land would be more enjoyable. I sure miss them good old days..
Oh Yes, The sweet smell of swamp mud in the morning !! lololol... Hope the "Beavers" don't decide to block off your ditches threw there ?? lolol... Along the bank your making, and flood the other side out too... Yeah, I think it's going to fill up pretty quick too Chris, had a lot of water coming into it the other day , when you started !! Guess we'll see tomorrow !! lolol... Great as always Man, Have a Great Evening, And, On too the Next !!
Need to get you a haul truck with tracks on it for jobs like that, they used them out here when they cleaned all these creeks out after a big flood we had back in July. They seemed to do very well about getting around
We've got a spot just down the hill from us called Nant yr Hen Llyn (stream of the old lake). The lake is owned by the local estate and is almost silted up. Crying out for someone like Chris to work his magic on it.
Our son's father in law has a small farm in western NY. He had a 3 acre pond with a beaver built dam. One day after snow melt and a good rain storm, he went out and the pond was gone. The dam had eroded and washed away. Since them the beavers have rebuilt the dam but the pond is not as big as it was before.
