In this video I discuss the various sanding tools and techniques I use for my scroll saw woodworking projects. Primarily intended for intarsia woodworking, these techniques can be used for segmentation or other projects as well.
Thanks for watching. I think it's great for roughing in shapes and detail work. Between burrs, sanding mops, sanding drums, and diamond bits you can do a lot with it and it doesn't get hot like the smaller rotary tools I've used.
You going to have a long live, there are a lot of ppl like so happy to find an very instructional video like this, it was beyond what I was looking for…
Very informative, I also have just gone into Intarsia, I have been scrolling for some six years now, and think I have the skill leval to move up to this next level. I intend to use Pine & paint, then I intend to start using different coloured woods. Thank you for the video, very much appreciated. Roy in Australia.
Have you tried using one of those inflatable drum sanders? You can get one for the drill press fairly inexpensively. I enjoyed seeing your techniques for the other sanders. Thanks for the informative video.
very informative, and a couple of your suggestions I hadn`t even considerd but I will now. My problem is I only have a smallish shed (10ft L x 8ft w) so I`m getting more & more limited in what I can add otherwise I`ll be climbing over tools . Plus,I have two cats that live in there also ,and They keep complaining about the space in there diminishing all the time .LoL
Could be intarsia or segmentation depending on how you select and cut the wood. Shaping techniques are pretty much the same. Did you make it on the scroll saw? Thanks for watching!
@@ScrollSawCorner ..... and German subtitles rarely work on RU-vid. Not at all here either. Unfortunately. RU-vid makes English subtitles for an English video ......
