On a recent podcast, NBA Legend Shaquille O'Neal said that he could score 12 points in 3 minutes on Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert, and added that the 3-time defensive player of the year wouldn't be able to guard him at all. The Jazz big man responded to the claim on Instagram, writing quote "I would lock his ass up" Skip Bayless and Shannon Sharpe decide if Gobert would be able to guard prime Shaq.

Also people think you can just take advantage of him in the pick and roll but it's not that easy because he straight scares some of the point guards when he would go out and defend them. Tony Parker figured out how to take advantage of Shaq but that isn't something a lot of point guards could do. Tony Parker had just the right amount of quickness and smarts.

About the only centers I want to see against a prime Shaq are Hakeem, Kareem & Wilt. Hakeem and Kareem mostly just because they're able to give it right back to Shaq on offense, effectively canceling him out. Versus Wilt it would be interesting to see the two most powerful big men of NBA history go at it.

Coming from a Lakers fan since 97. Seeing prime Shaq in 2000-2003 was amazing. Shaq at 7”1 300 plus pounds was so quick for a guy that size and was destroying everything in his path. People say Shaq wasn’t skilled all he did was dunk is crazy. He could take it Coast to coast make the right pass or finish. In terms of footwork on the low block, scoring with his right and left hand Shaq was a monster. He had a chance to be one of the Top 5 players to ever play if he stayed in shape. Prime Shaq would pulverize Rudy Gobert.

Embiid, yok, and Giannis would give Shaq trouble. I see people saying Shaq would be a liability on defense in today's "smallball" lineups. I might have to disagree. Shaq's dominance might prevent smallball lineups from ever taking off. Even in 2005-2006 when steve nash's Suns were lighting up the league, Shaq was still winning championships. People also seem to conveniently forget that shaq is 8th all-time in blocks.

I’ve often had all-time draft matchups with my friends. My buddies always drafted Kobe and Bron, and MJ. But what about Steph, KLAY, R. Allen, Rodman, and Shaq? It's crazy how more people jumped on Rudy defending himself rather than telling Shaq to leave the man alone. Rudy has yet to say anything about Shaq but every chance Shaq gets he has to say something about Rudy. Rudy didn't come out of nowhere and say this. Shaq started it and Rudy responded as he should.
