he's always reminded me of the dude who's always in a pick up game that is by far the most athletic person on the floor, but has clearly never played basketball in a serious way; he's fumbling and dribbling and jumping around aimlessly, and he'll get some lucky layups and rebounds, but will also have the weirdest turnovers and miss dunks and airball 3s.

Russell Westbrook is athletic as fuck but isn’t relatively skilled when it comes to actual basketball skills like handles and shooting, nor does he have high basketball IQ for a point guard.

@@vincentmena99 you’ve clearly never watched him play if you think he’s “not relatively skilled” he lived in the midrange and had the most fg’s from there during a 4 year period between 2013-2017. Giannis is somebody who isn’t “relatively skilled” considering he just runs and dunks as a 7 ft player. Also id love to see somebody with a “bad basketball IQ” win an MVP, because it ain’t happening. Not now, or ever. It’s okay you don’t like him not everybody prefers high intensity basketball. You’re a casual if you think he’s not skilled though. Smh you were probably 3 years old when he came into the league and has only seen his last 2 years being injured in the playoffs.

Despite the failed project, i’m still thankful to have witnessed him come home and play for the Lakers. Just about every kids dream from So-Cal who loves basketball is to do that someday. I wanted to see it, finally got to see it and I know that initially, Russ was as well.
