the fact that there is a movie on the severe abuse children suffered, and so soon after it all happened?!, is disgusting to me. go shari for calling it out!!
And they are reenacting the abuse and stuff? Like omfg how triggering for those kids if they ever see it. And people online are horrible so I’m sure it would get to them somehow. 🤦🏽♀️ I will not be watching ts
it makes me so sad when girls say "looking back, I should've seen the signs" "i should have realized" or "it's on me for being oblivious." baby girl, you didn't see the signs because you trusted him *wholeheartedly* and he took advantage of that. you did absolutely nothing wrong. it's going to hurt so badly because you were together for so long but i promise one day you'll look back and laugh at yourself for being so upset.
Shari is so freaking strong 😭 that girl is the best chance at a normal life her little siblings have and that is a HUGE load to bear at ANY age - let alone like what…20? 21? I’m so disgusted by lifetime
@@shannonrouleau2684 I truly believe she and any of her siblings that choose to get into that type of activism one day will change how family content on RU-vid is fundamentally
The fact that they're making a movie with well known actors agreeing to it AND behind the family's back is beyond f'd up. I hope the family sues or something
What in actual F**K?? Ughhh, when is the world going to stop exploiting these innocent kids??? Thank you for sharing this! I followed that case very closely, probably because of my own situations and my heart just absolutely breaks for them!!! I hope both of those atrocious women stay locked up for a very very long time. And as a master certified life/mental health coach myself, I honestly don't feel like Jodi should ever get out of custody. Ever!!! What she did throughout her career is literally unforgivable in my opinion. Just throw away the key. Sending prayers and healing to all of the victims!! You are so strong and so brave!!!! You didn't deserve any of this ever from people who were supposed to be taking care of you!! 🙏🏻
Infidelity is embarrassing. How hard is it to not cheat. Why not just break up before you run the streets. Mormon babymommas. What in the Kardashian is going on.
@@yelhsasokolova8561 Wasn't that long ago we had a problem of people straight up abandoning their family into the wind, or even having second families at the same time.
@@Ashbrash1998 Yup, that's why the whole "he went to go get cigarettes/milk/etc. and never came back" jokes were always so prevalent in the 1980s/90s. Pre-internet, it was easier for someone to just pick up and disappear.
These kids have been through enough! If they want to make a movie or write a book that should be something that happens when they are ready! Not when lifetime feels like doing it! And any proceeds should be going to the kids or a charity for child victims. Shame on lifetime.
We don't need a movie of the situation, lol. If they want to create a movie, then it's their own choice, but I hate Hollywood programs that do this stuff to make money off of people's life's that's been horrible and affected 😢
I feel bad for Shari Franke. That's not something you recover from easily. I'm still recovering from my own childhood trauma at 37 and feeling very humble because I still learn new things every day! Life is wild. But anyway, seeing how much I've struggled...I don't wish that on anyone.
Which is so twisted because producing a movie takes a minimum of like 6 months with a lot of dedication, assuming not much editing is needed. They only waited approximately 6 months or less to start filming. Writing the script, filming and refilming, editing and trailers all take time. So they would have had to start that process fairly early on.
It makes sense they made it this quickly. We just had a writer’s strike and every time that happens, there is a huge double down on pumping out reality TV or docs.
The fact that Lifetime didnt consult the family about the movie theyre making about shows that it is simply for monitary gain and not to spread awareness about the situation. How do you make a movie about someone and dont use them as a primary resource?! They absolutely saw the horror these kids experienced as a payday and thats disgusting.
I will never understand how it is allowed for people to make movies about another person or family without their consent or their families consent. It doesn’t make sense to me. Like how is that legal? And now these poor kids have to relive what they went through as if they don’t already deal with it everyday. Ugh my heart breaks for these kids. And screw whoever decided to make this movie already!!
Those family vloggers like Aspen make me so mad. They’re always like…”oh I’m going to keep (whatever trauma they’re going through) private, because my kids are the most important thing to me”. And then like a week later they’re like “well I need to share this with someone” so they tell the whole internet. They literally cannot keep anything to themselves, they get obsessed with going online and just rambling on about any and everything in their lives and they HAVE to do it. It turns into a literal addiction and it’s scary.
I’m hoping no one watches the 8 passengers movie. It’s disgusting that are trying to make a profit off the horror those kids lived through. That’s heartbreaking.
how can they make a movie with zero context. how the heck would they know what happened or what was said??? the general public doesn't even have this info.
One might think the poor children have already suffered enough for others' entertainment. This film is unnecessarily cruel to the victims -who are still minors. This shit is criminal in my book.
I am unfortunately not at all surprised about the lifetime movie. Hollywood loves to capitalize on real peoples misfortune to sell the story. Less than three months after the ghost ship fire in Oakland in 2016, Chicago fire did an episode based on it despite how many people signed petitions for them to not air that episode, especially considering how much of it was fictionalized and sensationalized to such a severe degree that people who really didn’t know anything about the ghostship fire assumed it was a drug rave because that’s what the show sold it as.
“They were together since high school…” And just from that line I could of figured they would eventually spilt. The odds are against anyone who was together in high school. Like really bad odds lol 😂
I am so frustrated for these kids.. to have a documentary come out about your story without being asked any of the details, absolutely disgusting.. safe to say I will not be watching this movie
Of COURSE Lifetime decides to make a movie documentary just to not even ask/speak to the children/victims nor give a single cent of the proceeds to them… greedy fr.
I had absolutely no interest or desire to watch ‘secret lives of Mormon wives’ but now I feel like I need to watch it to know who everyone is to keep up with the drama! I even got two of the girls on my tik tok feed yesterday
I still had a lifetime subscription I don’t use, so when I saw her story I sent them an email. I said how disappointing and disgusting this is and how predatory, especially since the kids are still KIDS and making no money from this. CANCEL YOUR SUBSCRIPTION PEOPLE AND LET THEM KNOW WHY
when you’re in a committed relationship and truly trust your partner, those signs are going to go over your head. she shouldn’t blame herself for anything.
Not only is it disgusting they already made this film when those kids are still so traumatized but we all know it won’t be done well because it’s Lifetime and made so quickly, it’ll be awful
the fact the lifetime movie tried getting actors that looked like the kids and husband to play their roles…they’re treating Shari’s serious trauma like it’s just a cinema or entertainment. not cool at all. i hope those directors get consequences.
Are we forgetting that Lofetime started making a Gabby Petito movie while she was still missing? The christian network is the most ungodly cesspool around
the fact that these kids finally have a chance at having relatively normal life and lifetime wants to air the whole thing on such a big platform with popular actors is INSANE. Especially for the youngest kids. If and I mean IF there would be a time and place for this kind of movie, it would be after the youngest kids are adults and capable of consenting to have this out. and ONLY THEN
I’m confused how these production companies can keep getting away with making movies without the consent of the family. It’s so disgusting. Especially when it involves things like abuse and other very dark things.
if you’re going to make an 8 passengers movie (which you shouldn’t), why is the story about Ruby-doo and not the kids? Why is she the main character? “Her life was never the same???” What about the lives of those children??? Like, I know all these types of movies are gross anyway, but, why are you centering this woman? Why are you making a film trying to get the audience to understand her descent into madness and how it’s all Jodi’s fault? … like we haven’t all watched her be crazy for years prior? If anything, a film about 8 passengers should be about the bravery of the kids. Especially the younger son. This actually has me so heated omfg.
I thought you had to sell the rights to your life story. How do other people secure those deals if studios like Lifetime can just take it without asking or paying?
They are re-enacting child abuse that really happened to real children WHO ARE STILL CHILDREN! They aren't even adults at this point in time! It's messed up enough to do this to grown adults, but I feel like it's a whole new level when they re-enact child abuse where the real life victims the story is based on are still children. Disgusting. I hope they get sued for this. I do. I know they have gotten away with a lot, but they are involving child victims right now.
It kills me seeing when women always blame themselves saying “it’s on me. Looking back I now see the signs and it’s my fault for not seeing them” NO you fully trusted your partner like a relationship should be! No one should ever have to second guess or assume their partner is lying and sneaking around.
Shari has written a book. The house of my mother. Will be released next year. Everyone support the book over this stupid film. And if you have to watch the film pirate it. Because thats what it deseves.
really weird of them to try and make money off of someone else’s trauma. It’s only been a year so they are all probably still trying to heal mentally from everything that happened and then someone goes and makes a movie ripping open old wounds, it’s just messed up.
It should be illegal to make movies, and profit off of someones likeness without the person, or person's family's permission. Its imo a form of identity theft. Especially with minors
So familys should stop exploiting their children😡look all this crazy Mormon Cult RU-vidrs😈Sharis aunts and grandparents shared and exploit them daily,so disgusting 😈😈😡 Bonnie Hoellein, Julie Deru, Ellie and Jared, Grandma and grandpa Griffith
As much as I don't promote the movie. It's just the way it is. It's the law that didn’t protect their identity and what was done to them and it's what their mother did to them and father. By exploiting them for years. To that movie company they are just another story. To media they are just another story. Best thing Shari can do is shut up about it. The outrage is gonna make people watch it more. I never even heard of it until people started promoting it by spreading how disrespectful it is. Best thing Shari can do in the long run is tell the real story. Through book deals. As sad as that is. Least it gets her side across. And then try and change the law in her country to protect other children of crimes. She is gonna realise this the tip of the iceburg. On how this crime will be exploited. In Britain they are way more respectful. Didn't get a film about the Bulger case till at least 20 years after the crime and it was very tame and just about the boys interviews. Sensational cases like this are protected from being exploited by the media. For crappy film fodar.
True crime fans will be the first to tell you that the lifetime moving network is absolutely trash. They are very quick to jump on cases like this and drop it off of them with regards for the family. I remember when the movie about the Chris Watts case came out in the family was absolutely horrified and disgusted at lifetime did that. I have never really liked lifetime movies because they’re honestly cringe and feel more like a darr mahn TikTok production more than it feels like an actual movie, but the way that they treat victims families has turned me completely off of the lifetime network
I clicked for shari.. so it should've been the first thing you addressed! you already spoke about aspyn in an entire video.. are you just trying to make the video longer? lol
Its nothing new nor surprising hat LIFETIME is doing this. Making money off the severe traumatizing abuse those kids suffered. Itd be one thing if they had the family approval to spread a message but they dont operate like that
I feel like aspyn may have purposefully said she would be demure about her divorce and then pretended more drama just happened now. But idk… that wouldn’t fully make sense, I assume being religious you would want stronger reasons to “justify” it because they see it as wrong. Or maybe she deconstructed fully from the mormon shame thing, we don’t really know everything and I don’t know much of what’s out there either. Just from knowing her other scandals… Either way she needs to heal offline but money and clout often comes before true self awareness and maturity when it comes to the internet. Or maybe she is completely truthful and just lost with her content.
Poor Franke kids. Unfortunately unless you copyright your own tragedy which is awful, tv will make a movie. This happened to the late rnb pop star Aaliyah who died tragically in a crash. Three days later a story dropped on her life and the family was mortified.
hmm don't buy it. They know how it works. Why give it sooo much airtime and publicity .. like tell people you want them to know about it and watch it without telling them.
