Mr. Cooldesertknight, you are very hostility towards this video. All she's showing the world is her appreciation to the experience she went thru to serve her fellow beings. She's not representing any corporation or any big company. And yes, charity starts at home. What have you done to your neighbors today besides running your lip services/
Very nicely put together! From a technical standpoint, good pacing, good use of music, and the segments were the right length. Good sound quality, too -- that makes such a difference. On the substance, you did a lovely job of showing the PC story.
It honestly makes me so proud to see foreigners come to our tiny little island and helping to improve our schooling for the youngens!! Thank you so much for sharing this video :)
You are an inspiration to a lot of people! Continue to tell your story so that our kids can learn to slow down and not focus on the material things!!! Great video!
This was extremely inspirational! Thank you for sharing your story :) I'm definitely considering the Peace Corps, and find volunteer testimonials to be the most helpful.
I was a PCV in Vava'u 2000-2001. I'm now doing a research project with my eleven year old daughter about Tonga. We came across your video. What a beautiful summary of what two years as a PCV in Tonga is like. The experience truly does last a lifetime. Kau ngaue 'ofa, eh?
I loved your video! I am an RPCV from Samoa, 2009-2011. I see so many similarities between the two countries! I fell in love with the Pacific, its people and culture! Congratulations on your successful Peace Corps Service!
Seriously as much as I miss my parents and siblings I am truly grateful for your service and dedication. Anyway I would love to hear more your stories. I have fb it's under Tevita Heitonga.
wow ! great work. i am thinking about applying to join the peace corps. i would love to hear about the work you did before hand in order to be accepted and then placed in tonga!
Now what you doing? My advice to anyone who is returning from The Peace Corps is go back to school or join the military. Civilian jobs aren't easy to come by at this time. Try to go Green to Gold and become an Officer. (I was in the Peace Corps in 1990 - 1992; then joined the military after working in Law Enforcement because it wasn't taking me anywhere). Check out all the armed services, see what each one hat to offer and see what job fits to your liking. Take into the account the sign-on bonuses college repayment program, what MOS’s are out there and if it ties in you major before joining the Peace Corps. Keep in mind become an Officer through Green to Gold. You will have a 30% pay increase once you get your commission.
