The HR and Interval training information you teach was transformative when I found your channel. I never dreamed it could be possible for me to run such long distances when I first started almost a year ago. Keeping my HR in check and allowing myself to walk when needed made running a far more pleasant experience. I used to believe in "no pain, no gain" and if a running session didn't feel like torture, I wasn't a runner. No wonder new runners burn out quickly! Your relaxed approach with technical information and practical tips for older runners helps us to enjoy the experience of running again. Great to see your channel growing! Big Congrats on your 3K subs!!! 👏
Thank you so much for your encouraging words! You made my day! Monitoring my HR was a game changer for me also. I'm glad you also found it helpful. Thanks for commenting!
Enjoy that run…every run! Doing my 2nd Rugged Red in beautiful Red River Gorge, Ky. Tomorrow. 1/2 M plus 3,500’ gain plus 3,500 loss. Quite a crowd on this narrow steep trail…lots of fun. I’ll try the the timer out this time, wish the bell was even more quiet. It’s a two banana 4 date run !
I have not. Like many things online, the value depends on what you want out of the coaching and how the online coach delivers that to you. If you want to improve running form, for example, can a coach who does not watch you in person help? On the other hand, if you're training for race and want advice with that training, then I think an online coach could help. Good luck!
Perhaps you have an older model Garmin watch. I've got the Forerunner 55 (great watch btw) and it allows me to modify run/walk increments by 1 second increments.
My Forerunner 245 only allows 15 sec increments in setting run/walk alerts. A software difference between the two watches, I assume. Thanks for watching the video and commenting!
