I have a Mac. Files go to “Downloads” in the file folder. From there you can delete the files that don’t work with your machine, make a new folder with a file name and drag your files into that new file.
I think PC's automatically go to the download folder as well, but that's always the first thing I change in settings when I get a new computer :) Thanks for sharing Glenda!
@@juliemarkley6042 you can set up your files to go to your download folder or set it up wherever it will be easiest for you to find them. When I download anything, it goes to my desktop and then I move it to the folder that I want that file in. As far as how to change it, it's been a long time since I've had to change it, so I just looked it up in Google. Here's the response that I found (which is probably dependent on whether you use a PC vs Apple): "Navigate to the "This PC" and open it. Right-click on the "Downloads" folder and click on the "Properties" option. "Downloads Properties" window will appear on the screen and click on the "Location" tab. Now, click on the "Move" button to change the default download location and click on the "Apply" button to proceed." I hope this helps.
If I down load a zip file from a embroidery site it contains all the different types of embroidery extensions. If I don't down load the embroidery extensions I use to my computer. I can not click on a file that is in the zip file folder and load it in embrilliance. Embrilliance will not allow you to load from a zip file. I wonder if that what she is trying to do. I figure this out when I got lazy one time and didn't load just the extension I use for my embroidery machine.
That is really helpful, thank you Dawn. Yes, all files must be extracted before they can be used in any way or any software. Thanks! I'll remind her of that.
