Even setting aside the speed of the plunge and the depths of their diving, it's incredible just considering the strength necessary to take flight from the rough open ocean. How do you even lift yourself off water at that size??? You have no resistance to push off from and can't even flap your wings fully. Incredibly impressive 👏🏻
"But this time around, there are plenty of sardines for all." Undoubtedly referring to the time when the whale just up and gulped down all the remaining food at once lol
Atanar89 ok I’ve come to the the conclusion that birds are not dinosaurs. They evolved. From dinosaurs sure, but they are their own category now. Were pterosaurs still referred to as archosaurs once they evolved into pterosaurs? No. Plus birds have their own diversity independent of dinosaurs. For the same reason I think humans are no longer apes like how apes are no longer monkeys. We’re just too different in our walking stature, so that’s a distinction.
You idiot! How in the hell do you think the birds , dolphins and aquatic life eat? And your talking about abuse! You brainless foolish being! And the other 40 thumbs up
I remember havibg this on DVD and loving how the Ganets dived into the water and swam like penguins! (Albeit, flight caoable ones) Tgey even know how the Dolphins, Sharks and Bruda's Whale assist in the fishing frenzy! Fact (if some don't know): Ganets - along with other diving birds - must know how to plunge inti the water at the right angle and shape, otherwise they'll snap their necks on impact!
The two fearless predators like shark and dolphin are feeding together in feeding frenzy instead of fighting against each other then its incredible and interesting . Gannets a kind of bird have dived over 20 meters . Bro's whale took such a huge lunge i will never forget this video and sharks dolphins and whales
I'm totally picturing a prehistoric version of this scene happening in the Niobrara Formation. Sardines=Apsopelix or Enchodus Sharks=Squalicorax Gannets=Pteranodon Dolphins=Dolichorhynchops Whale=Bonnerichthys
I agree with a lot of these. Bonnerichthys I’m not too sure could represent the whale because I think it might be too small but if you are exclusively talking about the Niobrara Formation, then I understand it.
@@pressftopayrespects6325 Oh I was definitely talking about the Niobrara, yes! ^_^ I ended up picking Bonnerichthys as the whale mainly because I couldn't find any other creatures from that area that fit the mold of "filter feeder" ^^;
Hell I think bait balls were a common scenario throughout deep time. I can see a Jurassic version with rhamphorhynchids, medium-sized ichthyosaurs and Metryorhynchus.
CJCroen1393 and Leedsichthys comes in to swallow the whole baitball. Bonus points if something like Pliosaurus or Plesiosuchus is lurking around trying to pick off one of the mesopredators. I’ve also seen a paleoart piece where a bunch of sharks, nothosaurs and a few Thalattoarchon were eating from a dead giant shastasaurid.
I was thinking "why don't these stupid fish just go deeper and duck the birds??" Then I found out the birds can dive and swim nearly as good as the dolphins lol. Nevermind
Beautiful underwater cinematography captured here. Dolphins lure the sardines in one place, gannets bomb dive in ocean to feasts on sardines, sharks chumping down fish & gannets, then big popa whale takes sardines & some gannets, in a whole coarse meal. Nature at work at it's best! 🐟🐬🕊🦈🐋
