the army still does water operations. just not big army. worst thing I ever had to do in the military was dunker and the pre sere swim test. and that was just a pool. I can't imagine doing amphibs or dive training in the actual ocean with sharks. fuck that

Was learning to surf south of Santa Cruz and we saw whales in the distance…my first thought was if there’s whales here what else is there. You can’t see anything in that ocean water. Went home that day to research which beaches in the Bay have had shark attacks…It’s like EVERY SINGLE ONE. And that was the end of me learning to surf.

Thank you so much for this one, Nikko. I really needed a momentary escape today. My older sister lives with me, she has Alzheimer’s, and she flooded her bathroom, bedroom and main hallway. Carpets totally saturated. I just discovered it as I was bringing lunch to her bedroom. Major FML moment as I squished my way to her room. Glad I put myself in time out to calm down and caught the tail end of your twitch in time to hear you say you’d posted a new one on YT.

They do go blind when they attack, a unique feature that they do when they want food. I like learning about sharks, but I hate deep water. You wouldn't see me go past my shoulders in the ocean or a pool. I hate snakes. I can't do jump scares or when they eat, but I do like learning about them.

Happened about 3 years ago. I was at Cumberland Island in Georgia, swimming in the water with snorkel gear. I swam out to where I couldn't stand at all. I dove down to the floor to see if there was anything cool, and when I resurfaced, I saw a pretty big blacktip breach the water and eat a bird about 20 yards to my right. I've never swam so fast in my life

I went bridge jumping in the intercoastal water way in south Florida as a teen. Ended up jumping unknowing onto a 8 foot long bull shark. I learned to walk on water that day.

Went diving in Egypt, and they saw something in the water. Could be dolvins, could be sharks. Thank God it where dolvins. One of the best experiences of my life, but damn, if it where sharks, I would have grown fucking wings. Instant evolution babyy You are amazing btw, love watching you!

Tiger sharks are actually the most aggressive and the most scary they're not as big as a great white or anything but I think they're definitely way more scary.

I lived in Perth, Western Australia, in 2023. My brother and I went to Mullaloo Beach in December 2022(summer time🇦🇺) the very next day a massive Tiger Shark was swimming in the same area my brother and I were, exactly 1 year later the same shark return to the same beach. The City have named him Greg. Edit: my mistake, it was in Jan 23'. There's footage on youtube

Little fun fact about sharks (if you didn't know and sorry to talk about your fear). When a shark goes to bite, it rolls its eyes into the back of its head to protect them. So if the shark was biting as it went into the cage, then at that moment, yes its blind

Hey nikko, your chat overlay in OBS is just a little squished vertically. You can change the dimensions of it in the properties of that element. (Dragging it bigger and smaller/ longer and wider will effect the scale of the words so they’ll be squished. Better to resize the dimensions and scale it that way.

I’ve jumped off of the Rainbow Bridge in Haleiwa at night (literally right where Nikko went to do the shark cage thingy) and the water is already so murky and fricken dirty asf… literally feels like a nightmare jumping off😐 sharks will come around at night time and turtles are always there in the day. Whenever I jumped off of the bridge, holy shit it literally felt like the “Jaws” movie poster. I’ll never know wtf was around me that night😳

Thank goodness I did my highschool science term paper on Sharks BEFORE I moved to Florida!! Never swim in anything but pools... If I'm out on the beach and get too hot, it's a quick get wet and back out--fast!! Forget Florida freshwater lakes, too... Gators and Cottonmouths ya know are in ALL if them!!

I love how you react to these encounters with sharks. I love sharks. Even adopted a mako shark named Buddy. I have not however dived before. Still something I would love to do. It may change how I view them. But I see them as fascinating creatures on how they live and survive. Also wana tell ya how much I love all your videos! I'm an Air force veteran myself.
