That place you fished at Amlwch is called Llam Carw and the mark you picked is one of the worst for losing tackle. Big tidal run and if you had stayed a while longer there's a massive rock island to the right of where you were that can only be seen at half tide which is usually covered in tackle. Also I've never heard of anyone catching tope there and I only lure fish it for pollack but only at low tide. That spot you said looks good for wrasse really is amazing for them and some huge ones too. Lucky you changed marks as the fishing was top notch and a big well done to you both. Great to see you both back together again and I really enjoyed the video.
Nice one lads, 30+ years since I last fished that Mark and it was my go to for Mackerel. I live in the Midlands now so don't get to do much sea fishing, might have to make a special trip after watching this!
That was absolutely crackin'. The safety aspect was superbly covered, the viewing experience for the viewer was amazing, and the cream on top of the milk was the superb dramatic accompanying music at 27 minutes that put everything in perspective. And, oh yes, the fish were brilliant...!
Just found your channels. Being a shark fisherman with my own boat. Can’t believe you can catch them from the shore. Great effort lads. I’m now a subscriber 👍
Love to see this channel growing! Amazing stuff! Love the passion! 110% deserve sponsorship by tackles company’s! Should be more of that in sea fishing! Full respect bro🫡
@ 41:07 you missed a bite on your right hand rod John when you caught that mackerel. You can't be in two places at once though. Great video and well done Mike on your fish (I won't put out any spoilers cos I hate that) and on your first "Fish" John. Keep the videos coming because I'm now disabled and can't get onto rocks and stuff like that anymore, so it's only carp fishing for me now .
I always go fishing over there on my own mate but further along and it is steep yes but i take extreme care and only spinning rods spinning for pollack and always go there when its blowing southerly as your sheltered there...seals and porpoise always about also ....tight lines.
I recognise you from some where but I don’t know where I fish all over Cheshire and the north wales just can’t recognise this mark I been fishing the island for over 20 plus years but not done much in 7 years as too much going on . Cracking vid loved it first mark tough on gear big wrasse up to 4lb had from there.
You and Mike should try the ole ogmore deeps. I don’t think it’s too far away from your general area but it’s similar to that mark nice ledges with deep water and it often throws up some oddballl specimen species nice video Mate I prefer the quality video over the quanitity video. Another idea for video could be you and Mike trying out lynn trawsfynnd for big rainbows and pike mate. Challenge….. can you bag up a max permit and catch a 10lb plus pike in a day 👍 let’s call it the big lake grand slam
Great video can't wait to watch Mike's video amlwch is one of my favourite places that much ill be there Friday day high tide stealth camping then hitting the next day before I go puffin island tight lines from Cheshire p.s yes it's a 2 hour drive 😂😂😂
Enjoyed that, reminds me of the joy, frustrations, dangers, buddys and expense of sea angling expeditions. I used to be obsessed then became a fish farmer which kinda broke the spell unfortunately lol. 😊
