@@kennethclapp9713 are you being sarcastic? I see a line I missed it first time until I read the comment and then I saw it . Little shark ? He was big,,
@@Groovy_Bruce _"Bro, it’s halfway down his throat."_ Yes, but he doesn't eat it! Tiger sharks tear the prey apart with their razor-sharp teeth. They can even crack the shells of turtles with ease. This tiger did not want to eat the smaller tiger shark. He even released it in the end. If he wanted to eat it, ..he would have!
I grew up near the Great Barrier Reef, when we went fishing we all knew that a Tiger Shark was never far away from the boat. I once saw an enormous black marlin in a game boat. Unusual, as they were invariably tagged and released. This fish had been attacked by a Tiger Shark, boat side, when the crew tried to remove the hook. The bite marks had removed 50 pounds of flesh each.
This is a REALLY interesting video. Sharks have been noted to eat smaller sharks by marine biologists, but it's also been noted that when multiple sharks of roughly the same size and species are all trying to eat the same thing and one gets another in it's mouth by accident, the shark will open its mouth even wider to avoid harming it's friend. They also essentially raise each other as pups, because their parents leave them in shallow mangroves to avoid eating them. The most common instance of sharks biting each other is mating, because the females mate with whatever male bites them the hardest. This clearly isn't mating because of the size difference, it's not a paternal/maternal relationship because sharks don't have that, it's not a "friendship" because of the likely difference in age, and it's not predatory because of the lack of blood and the fact that the smaller shark swims free. The fact that some people have noted that the smaller shark looks like it's being used as bait makes it even more interesting.
@@freeanimals594please don’t improperly abbreviate. I’m not an English teacher but I did stay at the Holiday Inn Express once. They won’t let me stay there if I don’t do my job.
Sharks do not make good live bait, let alone 7' ones. Given how tired the small one looks, it almost certainly was hooked by the fisherman and had a long fight. The big shark heard the thrashing and came looking for an easy meal. Nothing nefarious going on here, just offshore fishing.
I think the shark was trying to save the baby as it had drown. It appeared to be taking to the surface. Why do people always give them bad press. It wasnt eating it.
@@sharonletchford5787 lol you obviously have never read a scientific book on sharks if you think it was “saving” it most sharks eat other sharks in fact the pups have to swim super fast away from great whites when born because the mother will eat them if she turned around and is hungry they’re the killers of the sea and they don’t actually care about anything all they know is how to swim eat and reproduce.
Agree with Bill. Sharon seriously? Taking it to safety? People always try to apply human attributes to animals. The larger Tiger shark was most definitely trying to eat the smaller shark.
0:27 me when I grab the last slice from the pizza box and put it quickly in my mouth while my angry roommates look on, cuz I didn't chip in to buying the pizza an hour earlier.
@@F1ll1nTh3Blanks I never said anything about blood, fish don't always bleed much but somewhere in the 1:15 sequence you can clearly see his neck is frayed on one side in a way no line will do ... but you have to freeze the frame to see the shreds ...
I had a nosebleed for a few minutes while scuba diving. A tiger shark showed up about 30 minutes later... full grown- a big boy. I was so glad to be with a group of divers. He could have killed us all, but most animals will leave you alone if you are in a pack. Solo, I'd have been a tasty treat. I love nurse sharks but anything else, no thanks.
I remember the first time I gulped down an 8 footer thought, "kind of neat ... feels sort funky". I was just a baby Megladon at the time, but it was a memory that I will always treasure.
The smaller one is already on a fishing line. You could see they weren't fishing properly. Sharks don't normally twist and flip onto their bellies like that while swimming.
I see people saying “7’ and only 150 pounds?” When I’m thinking he’s 7 feet??? How big is the other one then, omllll 😭😭😭 this is why I’m terrified of the ocean.
Large sharks attack smaller sharks often. This is why you see smaller sharks staying closer to shore, it's to avoid the really big guys out in the open ocean. 😊
I dunno. A shark whose mouth is way too full for it to have any hope of biting you sounds like one of the least scary situations to be in involving one.
@@Knightfire66 The smal one is dead but its not dead b.c. of the bigger one. Tigersharks dont need to release for a better bitte, they start to move the head from left to right to saw off peaced. If you rly are into sharks, you know about things like that.
