UPDATE 05/27/2021
I referenced it can overcharge in my video. However I misinterpreted the manual the first time reading it. It can overcharge, however it is when it’s going down hills and the regenerative braking kicks in and it is already fully charged. You should be safe if it’s just on the charger and fully green. However it does flat out say to unplug it once it’s green.
I will always be committed to fixing any errors I make. I am not one to spread misinformation.
I still highly recommend buying this board!

Hey guys, I've owned my Shark Electric (Power) going on 6 months now. And my new Thin just came in! So I will be doing more stress tests on it in the future. There's not many videos about them online, and I just want to help out anyone wanting to learn more before purchasing one. I'm gonna upload another video of the Shark Power dying on me next Friday.
If ya'll have any tests you'd like me to do, let me know! I love pushing limits!

Shark Wheels are definitely worth it, if you just want to skip this video lol

(MARCH 2023) I still skate my Shark Thin daily. I LOVE IT!!! However my best friend ordered a Shark Power in January. It came in within 1 week… The battery was Dead on Arrival. He mailed it back, and as of March, they still haven’t “fixed it” and mailed it back to him. They did let him know they do not accept Returns on Electric Longboards. Even DOA ONES. So until he gets it resolved, this comment will stay pinned. @sharkwheel

Shark wheel won’t stand by the e-board they put their name on. The only thing shark wheel on the deck is the wheels.

Hey thanks for the comment! The Thin has a battery, it’s inside the board itself! This is an olddd video. I need to make an updated one, but call me a plank rider bc this thing rippssss

Sure, the wheels are great, but they refuse to sell them to you unless you own their board first? They're the only electric skateboard company to do this too...

Sounds like a kinda crappy and overpriced board from a sketchy company. If the wheels are that nice it sounds like the thing to do is to just mount them on a belt driven board.

I for sure killed the Power from breaking down steep hills. Shoulda let it discharge. Replaced the battery, & let my buddy borrow it. No issues, besides him accidentally washing the remote lmao. I agree about mounting them to a belt driven. I like Hubs better, but that’s pure preference. My Thin is still King for me. Not having a bulky battery or belt is unmatched. I’m pushing a little over 900 miles now, other than my wheels losing tread it’s still my favorite board. Sketchy or not, Sharkwheel is incredible for E-Skating. I’ve hit branches & big rocks going 25+, and they’ve always kicked them to the side. It’s still my favorite wheel. Clouds are okay, but they’re killers on the ankles after a long ride. Regardless of what you buy, thanks for the comment! Have fun out there!

What board should I get that has the least amount of money for its value ?

Personally I like the Thin better! It’s super light compared to the Power. I get about 10 Miles out of my Thin (on a good battery my Power gave me about 18 miles a charge) . I weigh 210lbs and am usually carving a lot. I keep it on H+ and normally don’t go under 15mph. They just upped the Powers price to $799 (was $699), the Thin is still $599. I can’t really recommend other brands, since the only E-Skates I have are Sharks. But I will say the wheels really are something else! Hope this helps

RTFM, the charger includes overcharge protection. Don't just make shit up.

Hey thanks for the comment. I did read the manual the day I got my board. However I went back and re-read it. I misinterpreted a section regarding overcharging. Per the manual you CAN overcharge the board. However it can happen from regenerative braking if the battery is fully charged. It does flat out say to unplug your board after it’s fully charged as well. (I’m guessing that’s where I got confused). I really do appreciate you calling me out, because I’m not one to spread misinformation. I updated the description of this video. Also I don’t “just make shit up”.
