Good lord, I just spent the last 3 minutes on the edge of screaming in anticipation of the giant shark I expected to come out of nowhere and snatch up that seal!!! (and yes, it was the music that had me so convinced!)

It was definitely in the back of my mind. We often see harmless sharks like Grey Nurse, Wobbygongs and Port Jacksons come up when there's a fish rattling round in the water after a spear.
Spotted the same sight while surfing the other end of Cronulla out at boatharbour reefs about 8 years ago. And it was a huge hammerhead. Luckily not a very hungry one
You really shouldn't dive alone... but, that's 90% of my diving. Been doing it for 35 years so have a healthy fear of what can go wrong and how to avoid it/solve it. I wouldn't recommend until you're got some serious hours under your weight belt though.
I love swimming but I fear sharks The big ones. Aquarium ones are just cool and stuff. But deal waters are damn Scary . Well most of the time they aren't they just look like very bossy fish but when they open their mouth and it kinda comes out. Then it's scary . I think it's safe when you don't be mistaken as food and carry harpoon. With 4 uhhh spoons. Or underwater 1 shot gun. I love sea but at same time fear it
Who was waiting for the great white to show up. I kept thinking...”look around you....look around you!”. A lone seal, whites love that. Not to mention you both were totally absorbed. I really thought the worst!! So glad I’m disappointed. No one wins in “fights with whites”.
Isn't that so strange about humans...I'll include myself in this one. Or maybe it's just me actually. But when I see a shark eat a seal I feel so bad for some reason. I get it and I appreciate it...a shark is such a massive and impressive predator and I'm glad it gets to eat. But still I can't help but think poor seal. But then I see a seal killing and eating its food source and I never get sad at all.
