Lyrics by Dracoris: There once was a town in Tiragarde Sound Where the sea and the wind whipped round and round The storms they came when the men set sail From old Boralus Town. Where have the mermaids gone That once swam round the Tiragarde Sound? Why are the mermaids gone From old Boralus Town? The mermaids lived in Baradin Bay They’d watch the girls and boys at play They never did a thing to harm The folks of Boralus Town. Where have the mermaids gone That once swam round the Tiragarde Sound? Why are the mermaids gone From old Boralus Town? Halia was a mermaid brave She swam so far from her sisters’ caves She spied a bonny tidesage lass And gave her heart in whole. Where have the mermaids gone That once swam round the Tiragarde Sound? Why are the mermaids gone From old Boralus Town? Tidesage Ery of the Windward ship Had a heart as strong as a fisherman’s grip She fell in love with her watery maid But she couldn’t live down below. Where have the mermaids gone That once swam round the Tiragarde Sound? Why are the mermaids gone From old Boralus Town? One day there came a terrible squall The mermaids raised a mighty wall The mermaids gave their lives to ward Old Boralus town Where have the mermaids gone That once swam round the Tiragarde Sound? Why are the mermaids gone From old Boralus Town? Ery held the waves at bay Til she fell into the salt and spray The soles of her feet did Halia split So together they could remain. Where have the mermaids gone That once swam round the Tiragarde Sound? Why are the mermaids gone From old Boralus Town? Where have the mermaids gone That once swam round the Tiragarde Sound? Why are the mermaids gone From old Boralus Town?
This is one of the most tragic and heart-warming stories from W.o.W The Mermaids gave their lives to save the Kul Tirans, but the two got to spend their lives together. :)
Oh, so that's why RU-vid kept suggesting Wellerman cover videos to me lately... :D Very witty. The "And gave her heart in whole" part made me recall a recent mini golf pun from Lucifer ("Hole in Juan"). :)
I hadn't seen the YT post(s) of this yet & heard it on Spotify. Now I've played it there so many times it's an 'ear worm'. "Da da 'n da dot da da dot da dadda dot dot da..." Great tragic, yet heart-warming love story by Dracoris & getting the old salty Dude & your clone siblings to fill out the voices of the chorus really made this sound & feel right.
I'd recomment putting what song it's a parody/ rewrite of in the thumbnail or title. Would probably get more views and make it easier to search for that way
I am very pleased to listen to this song. Definitely a Boralus shanty. Love you gave it a lesbian twist to it also. I will never stop loving your voice.
Thank you :) Dracoris wrote the lyrics based on the fairy tale "Why The Mermaids Left Boralus" by Tamsyn Muir from the Folk and Fairy Tales of Azeroth storybook ⚓
@@sharmsong I wish they hire some people in Blizzard who can make the game as good as it was, or at least sell it to a company that cares. I'd hate to watch Warcraft fade away as a f2p garbage. At least we have your songs to remind us of the good old days.
@@sharmsong yes just realized you did mention it in your description lol was gonna say if you didn't it would of annoyed me. well done tho i love your music! please make more like this
