Only by accident. Jake was working for Johnny protecting his daughter. Sean Slater was in a relationship with his daughter Ruby at the time to try and get her money. He visits Johnny in prison teasing him and going into detail about having sex with his daughter whilst saying he is finished and not what he used to be. This makes him snap and while he gets into a rage he tries to phone someone to kill Sean but has a heart attack. While he is on the floor, a friend in the prison hears him say "Get Jake". He meant to get him to help as he was still trusted by Allen. The prison friend misunderstands and thinks he wants Jake dead. I think the last scene we see of Jake is a group of people walking up to him in a street.
@@94blondebimbo It's never been confirmed he died though, I wouldn't be shocked if one day we see him and Chrissie walking back into The Vic together as the new owners or something like that. The current writers seem to love bringing back older characters!
