+darin ak agreed, i was shocked Bianca won the "Best winner of the series," granted Bianca is great - i feel that due to season 4 airing in 2012, and season 6 airing in 2014 it was just more relevant Sharon is awesome.

The reason Sharon won partly to do with the fact that she went in with no expectations of doing well or winning - because of that she didn’t edit or drag for the competition therefore she was the most authentic and endearing in the season- whereas phi phi was just trying so hard and really wanted to win and ultimately that went against her

Wow, Sharon is an amazing interview! She gives you everything and is a great story teller. I loved hearing about her past... I never knew any of that and it was so fascinating. She has come a very long way. Good for her! I met her at DragCon last year. I didn't intend to... I was actually afraid that she was going to be judgmental and stuck up, for some stupid reason in my head. But, I saw her off to the side smoking a cigarette and we had a lighthearted chat... what a charmer, she is! After that, she stole my heart and became my favorite. So, in case anyone is wondering.... she's fabulous IRL, too :)

i don't know if other people feel like this, but i think sharon's just so magnificent when she's talking about her life. i'm not sure if i feel this way because i'm just an almost-not-a-tennager-anymore who's too old for a lot of things and haven't done shit about my life in the way she did. i feel like she's been everwhyere, found freedom in the most hauting it can be, found fame and beauty and created art just because of her thoughts and the things she likes and now she's a mark that will live forever in the drag world. the way she grew makes me really sentimental and inspired. hope i can get a little piece of sharon needles in me too.

Statistically Sharon, Jinkx & Bianca are the strongest winners, Sharon won 4 main challenges, Jinkx was in the Top 3 for 8 consecutive weeks and also won 2 main challenges & Bianca never even once fell in the bottom 3 and also won 3 main challenges. Chad & Alaska are also good, both winning 3 challenges in a row (on all stars ofc)

It amazes me how many performing queens are ignorant of so much drag culture. How can you be unaware of Divine, or the Warhol girls? It's so much richer than pageant queen culture and it's helpful to gay culture as a whole. No better message than 'Let your freak flag fly'.

This is one of the best interviews ever! I have always enjoyed Sharron but I was never a superfan-- now I totally am. She is so smart and honest and a truly talented, self aware performer . Johnny thank you for this wonderfully led interview. I am so happy that this show s back and I love the new set and singers and Lady Red you are even more stunning of a Goddess!

LOVE Sharon Needles! Loved that there were so many dimensions to her personality! Very funny and also once the other queens allowed her to be, very supportive to others and kind. One of the best seasons and my favourite winner so far. I am one of the people who is in a country which used to get RuPaul's Drag Race (UK) but somebody in their wisdom (THEM up there on their cloud) decided not to pay for any more seasons after Season 3. I am a straight woman but I love and admire the artistry and imagination that goes into drag! If I could even do my make up half as good as they do....Thank god for RU-vid but now even this is not allowing the latest season to be shown.

Once again Sharon reminds me why ive became such a big Drag fan. As a victim of consistent mental illness discrimination, social anxiety and bullying, The concept of being able to create another more exerted, flamboyant part of you, that doesnt have to feel ashamed, embarrassed or in hatred of yourself, just you doing you with camp-ness, skill , colourfulness, humour (and in Sharon's case) *Punk f*cking rock* inspires me on a daily basis.

I am so excited about this new season. Everybody looks, sounds, jitters so good! Lady Red is all the treasures of springtime dressed as a succulent chocolate bunny in bright Easter-colored regalia.
