Sharon gets more beautiful every year! Her spirit is ageless and her smile will live forever. That Allan Connor is wicked talent! What a grand union the two make for musical excellence.
I'm going to get this played at my wake. No fecking funeral. Along with Powderfinger (Neil Young) and Fairytale of N Y and Broad Majestic Shannon by some mob I can't remember.
Saw them live in Michigan Irish Festival in Muskegon, MI years ago. They were great. I'll never forget when they played this song and Alan's solo. I was blown away. Bought their CD/DVD and listen to it often.
And just how do you get a ticket to that bar? I've got it on loop and am playing it VERY loud. No neighbors but I think they'd love it regardless. The combined talent of Sharon and Alan leave me breathless.
This beautiful song from Sharon Shannon triggers a profound effect of nostalgic emotions in me for some strange reasons. Not sure if it's me only but this music makes me feel the absence of particular and desirable experiences and pleasures once lived, there's pretty much a "Saudade" element in it.
There is a magic show called "Penn and Teller." How does Alan Connor do such switches and combos ?. Also amazing is the audience, no open air stadium, just looks like a local pub with oldies finally getting into this amazing act by SS and AC.
