I'm a jazz musician and I think this young lady is one of the true greats of the future as long as she doesn't let the music industry change her. She reminds me of a lot of what radio head was doing when they first hit the scene and I mean that as a compliment. Her music is natural and organic and sees the world for what it really is. Good stuff.
so beautiful...so familiar...so entrancing. I can say so many words to describe this performance but there are no words to describe how it makes me feel.
I couldn't help but seriously cry during most of this, this is one of the most moving and personally touching pieces of music I have heard in ages, thank for making this. From the bottom of my heart, I am terribly happy I will get to see you perform at Pitchfork this year...seriously thank for that I needed it.
Glad someone else here mentioned Radiohead in connection with SVE - every time I listen to Tramp, which is more often than is healthy, I'm reminded of their music.
She gave little reasons for the songs she sang at the Greek Theatre. I know that these lyrics were created from her experience, and every song is beautiful.
