For a long time the Sharp X68000 was not an easy system to emulate. Most of the good emulators were in Japanese and the quirky way it loads disks made getting it working a lot harder than it needed to be.
Luckily the emulator called "XM6 Type G" works really well and has support for SCSI hard disk images with a little configuration. Mounting a SCSI HDD image (with the extension .HDS) is a great way of having multiple games ready to play and this video will talk you through configuring XM6 Type G to get it working.

Thanks for watching. The Sharp X68000 is a great system I have covered before but it can be fiddly to set up using multiple disk images etc. I was so glad to find a great way of mounted .HDS SCSI disk images holding multiple games!

With all the "mini" revivals of old consoles and PCs, this is the only one I'd love to actually own as a reimagined hardware.

Never had to bother with the master disk and changing it to SCSI0, just added the hdd image and it booted first time.

You have to setup the new drive in the options menu first or it won't be a selectable option when using the switch menu in the boot disk. this took me 30 minutes of tinkering to figure out.

I had to setup SCSI HDD in options before I could select SCSI0. SXSI TAB was then greyed out. Got the emulator it to work though; in the end.

How make controls on different buttons for 2 players on one PC keyboard? On this emulator or on XM6 Type-G... Not who knot know... :( Need for tests...
