I also seem to sometimes fail getting the burr removed even with leather stropping tool for the tsprof guidening system. I’ll be looking for tips here 😁
One way I’ve avoided injuries while sharpening is having what I need within arms reach without reaching over the knife. I’ve cut myself a few times while reaching over or across the blade. Another way to avoid injury is if you drop your angle cube or it falls, let it fall. There’s no use in cutting yourself while trying to fumble with objects that increases the risk of injury. Lots of times injuries take place because the basic fundamentals of knife sharpening are overlooked.
