Shashibo Shape Shifting Cube Review 

I was thinking of getting this for my 9 month old. Just to mess around. And introduce the concept of shape-changing and geometry etc. Now I'm thinking it's not that crazy of an idea!

Maybe that's because kids will just play with something for fun and enjoyment - a three year old wouldn't even understand the concept of "finishing" something. Adults have this subconscious need to prove that they are smart enough to work out the puzzle. They aren't doing it for enjoyment. They are just trying to finish it. So they are going to find the experience frustrating and "give up" because they focused on the outcome and not enjoying the process. Children will simply play with a toy, and get enjoyment from working out what the toy does in the process, and they will spend hours playing with it and they will enjoy every minute of it. Of course you are going to be able to work something out if you are enjoying the challenge. She didn't even know that there was a "finish" line, and she played her way across it. 😜

@@LaraKim as a former 3 year old I can absolutely assure you that many do understand the concept of finishing a puzzle

@@LaraKim Definitely. Everything works out better if you do it for fun instead of as a task that you NEED to finish Really gets those neurons firing

It's a lot easier to get the shashibo Into is original shape then a rubiks cube. Personally I don't see the shashibo as a puzzle and more as a fidget.

Naww the Rubik's cube is still entertaining kids today.... There are actually competition's that you can enter if you think you're good enough.........

We are currently on galaxy brain levels of rubiks cube. They have tuning pegs and specialized lubricants now.

Think of it like opening a pistachio. Yout just pull the two corners to open it. Remember though, "if it doesn't flow, it doesn't go" as you transform Shashibo from one shape to another. :)
