This is a real pit with a real hardcore band. Honestly I'd be afraid to even step foot near them, they're all like 4 times my weight and size, I couldn't handle a pit of that calibre.
GruesomeGertie Hey man, I'm pretty small myself and have been to these shows. You just run in and swing for the fences, and you'll do awesome. Pretty much every Hardcore show I've been to, I left with new friends.
Nah bro, I live NYHC... Been to many many shows... these pits look violent but they arent. If you get hit by someone they apologize, and vise versa. But also like Dan said, if people go in there with the wrong idea, they are gonna get fucked up!
Funny how no one is dancing when the breakdown begins at 3:58. Everybody is more or less afraid to get hit, so everybody is more busy about not being hit than actually dancing... So stupid. I don't mind violent pits, it's a part of hardcore, and I'm sick of people complaining about violence at hardcore shows. If you don't want to get hit, fair game, stand in the back and enjoy the show. Quit your bitching. But the pit here is just fucking ridiculous. A pit should be about dancing and having fun and not paying no mind to anyone else around you, which involves the chance of you hitting someone or you getting hit yourself. It's part of the dance and the culture, and that's the way it should be. But the pit here is not about dancing, it's just about straight up hitting people and getting away with it because you're a part of a crew. Pit-iful.
3:34 bald dude destroys small dude in green tank, like looks him dead in the eye, grabs him and fuckin decks him... poor green shirt dude has to leave the pit shortly after
HAHAHAHHA wiggy jiggy guy in the extra baggy cargo fukin hilarious!! seemed pretty drunk and managed to make it through that not being touched but gave the hammer to everyone
Napalm I love bane and Have Heart. Its a different genre. A lighter genre with less emphasis on hatred and violence. I also love desolated, knocked loose, terror, and tons of heavier bands that do emphasize violence. Its okay to like different genres of music. However, its not okay to show how ignorant and judgmental you are, and then insult someone because they don't share the same views you do. Think about it
SkiesOfmaY Desolated will never come close to Shattered Realm or any beatdown bands, NJHC or NYHC for that matter. Infact.. You wouldn't even be into this shit if Hardcore wasn't trending right now.. 2011-present. Call me ignorant. Aha.
I didn't list the best of examples. I just listed a few bands i recently got into, besides terror, but I was just explaining that liking other genres shouldn't looked down upon.
And this is the reason why I do not go to shows anymore. Shattered Realm is a great band but people just walking up to you, hitting you, that is not hardcore at all.
3:35 what the fuck has that knockout punch to do with a moshpit? Come on guys, I know this kind of moshpits can be rough, but this makes no fucking sense. Zero skills, just beating the crap out of eachother.
Isn't FSU supposed to be about being friends and shit? Idk anything just looked them up but why the comments talking about them like people should be scared of them? Was that their thing back then?
their stated purpose vs what they actually are are two entirely different things. they pretend like they’re this feel good group of dudes who grew up rough and just like having fun moshing and shit but in reality they’re a bunch of fucking headtat assholes who target kids.
IX Circle and Tek danced way harder. back in the day that floor would be full and you could just hear peoples limbs slapping together. The mosh would be goin full right from the sound check.
