I interpret the "tool cannot overlap unpassable terrain of a higher elevation" to mean you can't cut corners when going around buildings by using the tool to overlap the terrain but rather you must position the tool whilst using the pivot point to go around impassable terrain of higher elevation. I'd like to see Nevarro or Mandalore. I think the crystal structures on the surface of Mandalore might be some cool terrain features.
I would like to play on the mean streets of Coruscant, but also a treetop village of endor style would be awesome in a game that would really take advantage of that elevated terrain.
The terrain I am most interested in building would be the Narkina 5 Imperial prison complex featured in Andor. Yes, the timeline may differ to the clone wars setting but the whole complex is fascinating.
I've seen several Felucia styled boards and unit base decorations in Legion and the bright colors are a welcome change from the grime and grit of much of the Star Wars lore. I'd say Scarif boards are great too, but maybe wait until more OT units are released :)
I have several scenes in mind: 1.) Death Star hallways and gantry’s, 2.) Mustafar and gantry’s over lava, 3.) Rebel ship withy hallways and rooms trying to protect cargo, or passenger, or “plans”
While not the most practical, Id love to do a floating platforms on Kamino board. A nice resin sea, with different levels would be gorgeous to play on and a nightmare to make.
Really enjoying this video series, thank you very much! It helps a lot to not only read the text but put it in context through different examples 😊 I‘m going to start playing on my usual tabletop setup. Neoprene mat, some ruined or intact buildings, a wooden or crystalline forest, maybe some rubble. I don’t think I‘m actually going to acquire a terrain set specific to Shatterpoint. I might print something like a crashed X-Wing or Tie Fighter once my larger printer is in working condition. 😊
I know it might sound sparse but Crait. The way the salts turn red just looks great. Either that or the underhive of coruscant. I think that would make an interesting board.
I'd love a Felucia board with massive plants. That or like a hangar in the Death Star. Glossy floors and raised platforms with cargo boxes scattered about would be dope.
I whould love a naboo Board with alot of nice buildings and old-school arches as well as some tress and nature. Just to have a deviation of the scifi designes
I'm going to do a double-sided board with grey foam on one side for a city board. I will then try to paint the buildings in a similar style to those on Mandalore since we have both Night Owls and Shadow Collective/Death Watch Mandolorians in the starter. The other side will be painted sand and used for skirmish legion games since I have a lot of Tatooine terrain for Legion.
the 2nd rule on advance for elevation is also getting at day there is a huge thin wall you can't end at the lower elevation on the other side. I guess what its really trying to say you can't travel along a tool past the place where the tool over laps a higher evaluation. What you are saying is you can stop before that point which is also true.
I quite enjoyed the look and feel of the adepticon promo boards. The red/terracotta buildings with the blue rusting gantries is cool. Personally a kashyyk style board would really appeal. Lots of gantries and overlapping walkways. A really fiddly build/setup though so it’s have to be a display piece somewhere!
Tatooine is indeed boring! Too much of that. I would love to see some Mandalore based scenes for a battle scene. If not that then maybe the streets of Naboo or the hangar where Anakin tries his spin move Side notes, I think Droikeas would be super cool for Shatterpoint! Also hope that Grievous has some cool movement abilities with his spider crawls
I agree with Umbara, but I'd love to see Kashyyyk as well...only if we get some Wookiees though! Raxus is also beautiful, and would make a nice combination of organic and urban aesthetics.
Well I already did a Kashyyyk board for Legion, so I would do Coruscant underworld. I picked up some 3D file and will be printing out the pieces for it.
I’m not sure how viable it would be as it might be, but I would love to see terrain based on the Episode 1 duel with Darth Maul. With the multiple levels, bridges, shielded doors and, of course, the pit I think it would be interesting to say the least. Lol
I think I am going to build myself a starship graveyard board. It's probably going to be 'planet agnostic', but think something like the opening area of Fallen Order
I would love to see Batuu (galaxys edge) and have some buildings, shops and such I have been to at Disney World. Would really make me get sucked in even more.
I think starting with the core box terrain I'm gonna try doing some kind of coruscant undercity, or maybe the cyberpunk-esque planet (Daiyu) from Obi Wan 😊
Mustafar has to be done as a setting. I have the high ground is too meme'd of a line to pass up, and for those with the capacity to do lava effects??? Please someone do this.
