After Shaun (Freddie Highmore) and Lea (Paige Spara) get some troubling news about a condition that puts their baby in jeopardy, Shaun wants to help. Dr. Lim (Christina Chang) says the rules prohibit his involvement, so Shaun appeals to Dr. Glassman (Richard Schiff). Meanwhile, Dr. Andrews (Hill Harper), Dr. Park (Will Yun Lee), and Dr. Wolke (Noah Galvin) agonize over an experimental procedure to end a terminal patient's life, leading Dr. Wolke to chat with her in hopes of understanding the situation. @@sylverschannel7656 There were A LOT of complications: they had to do a surgery on Lea for a clot, put the baby on steroids because it had lung problems, Lea suffered a pulmonary embolism (I don't know what that is) and more tests showed that there were actually two clots and that the baby wasn't responding to the steroids. 😢

Man...why they did that? I was soo excited to see Shaun as a father and Lea as a mother taking care of they’re daughter and Shaun growing to be a more responsible and mature man. Now anything of that will be possible. Why!!!!!

every show does this, makes the character pregnant then oops they lose it, seeing shaun as a father would have been very interesting and unique, too bad that they went with the grey´s anatomy storyline

This happens in real life and it's a part of pregnancy that's rarely talked about. This sheds light on it.

@@ChristineTheHippie yes of course, but this is a show and the writing changed in the last seasons. I love seeing real life things happening in TV too but this is too much, it's just like Gray's Anatomy when they just kill people and make the viewers cry. It's a bad choice for catching audience with drama. They could have protrayed the child loss in other ways or times, it doesn't feel real if everything goes terribly wrong just to make audience. It's a thing that goes on in certain shows and it's bad taste on drama imo

This show is a drama. Which mimics real life( granted Hollywood style). Bad sh$t happens in real life. Anybody remember 2020. Life is ups and downs. I pretty much knew she was going to lose the baby from the jump. I love when you do disagree with a character or a plot line it makes it all the more real. If you want rainbows and bunnies go watch a comedy.

Personally, I loved the show from the beginning and I still do. I think the writing was great. As someone said before, if you want a comedy then don't watch. It's call drama for a reason.

You know the show is on the rapid decline and this is one of the reasons why. Super bad writing. Now Shaun and Lea will most likely break up. This show really wasted our time. Shaun loses everything just like that. In 1 episode. Super terrible writing.

I don't think they're going to break them up, the next episode shows both of them trying to cope with the grief (I'm getting this off of a coming attraction so don't yell at me for spoiling it) and Glassman tells Shaun, who is trying to distract himself with surgeries, to "go be with Lea." I think it's somehow going to make them stronger, but that's just me

Really, what’s the point in getting Leah unplanned pregnant, let them deal with abortion, let them overcome their fears and decide pro baby - just to kill off the baby due to a miscarriage just a bit later? Over-dramatic and cruel. Silly writing if you ask me 😡😢

I stopped watching after they killed off Doctor Neil Melendez. This show has turned into a soap opera and tragedy.. To bad, because this show has promise, awesome characters and they all worked so fabulas together a great love between Clair and Neil..Now its just a soap opera.. The writing is terrible!!!

im sad about the loss but we all know it's too early for them to build a family we are only at season 4 maybe in season 5 or 6 (hopefully) after the wedding they will have an opportunity to have a baby again
