The reason why there is no Harmonization is because Today has No Talent I’m old school like Tommy Shaw and Jack Blades and so many others who would remember Styx, Night Ranger and Damn Yankees and many other Awesome musicians I’ve had my fun doing just this, no harmony, no band
Tommy hasn't lost a step through the decades. Unbelievable vocal abilities.... and "High Enough" .. one of the best "rock" symphonies ever. He and Jack are both class acts, and very underrated. Awesome vid. AJ
It's crazy that the Damn Yankees had Ted, Jack, and Tommy. All three of them more than capable of playing incredible guitar solos. I definitely feel like this song and Come Again were peak Yankees
Love this ! Tommy is on a league by himself . Their voices mesh so well together . Love Night Ranger , Styx , Damn Yankees and Shaw Blades . Just great musicians
Two of the best from some of the greatest rock bands of the 80s came together with the wildman and the damn Yankees were born . This band never got the love it deserved
After this Tommy's guitar was 35 and ready to settle down! .. he was long before my time though I knew he was great but, very...very ...very few people in history are that good. AMAZING.
I remember growing up. In the backseat driving with my family and this song came on the radio and my dad asked who sings this? And I loudly said Damm Yankees and my mom turned around and said your grounded and I responded why? And she said. Cuz you said Dam! And I responded. That’s the name of the band !! Lol. I’m 50 now and I still laugh about that That was a time when cursing was not good at all and today that is lacking in all families Love this song
There are so many bigger bands that have members, especially vocalists that have stayed too long at the party. These two and their respective bands still sound great. See them if you get the chance.
Love this song! These guys sound great! Jon bon jovi, Stephan Pearcy , Mark slaughter , Vince Neil, Paul Stanley all should have retired years ago from performing live! Who am I missing from that list?
You know what I love about most 70s & 80s rock musicians? Great, timeless music that is way better than most people realize until they get some patina on them. It's like the first time you heard the Beatles and noticed how catchy the tunes were without realizing how much great musicianship went into making them sound both brilliant and simple at the same time. Then, you picked up a guitar and went, Whoa. So many seriously talented musicians from my youth. You Millennials have a long way to go to catching up with guys like Tommy Shaw and Jack Blades.
Boy, have they come close. I'm pretty sure I saw Night Ranger and Styx together at a concert in the mid 90s (with REO Speedwagen), but I went to a lot of shows like that, so it's hard to remember for sure. I know I've seen all of these bands more than once, though. Except Damn Yankees. They are kind of the wild card because they never officially broke up, but they don't really make music anymore either. I figured Ted would be the tricky one, but he played with Night Ranger recently. So did Dennis DeYoung. Dennis DeYoung with Night Ranger playing the music of Styx. Man, it's all so confusing!
I met and had a few moments to talk to Tommy after he performed a short spontaneous concert for a local radio station near where I worked at the time. He was super nice to stop and talk to me in the light rain and sign a shirt for me. He loves & appreciates fans. Told me to make sure I made the Damn Yankees in a few months, and I did for the second time.
Fantastic Version of a great Song. Love Tommys highpitched Voice. Great Singing, great playing, great Musicianship. These Guys enjoy Music and so do i!
Ted was smart enough to get up with theses guys, he isn't a idiot people. I articulacy love his leads with the Damn Yankees. It showed a different side of his guitar playing in which was amazing/awesome!!
Tommy Shaw has long had one of my favorite voices in rock! Been a fan of his going back to the late 70s early 80s with Styx. And he just seems better now than ever.
Tommy Shaw, the only vocalist ever to make me cover my ears in concert! Such piercing range and power, the Damn Yankees in Fresno a lifetime ago, I still consider it one of the best concerts I have seen and I have seen a lot!
Tommy Shaw in Chicago IL with Dennis DeYoung working on The Grand Illusion. My ex BF friends with the band. Got to watch them rehearse. Freaking awesome 😍💋❣️
