There's 3 little bolts in that column that work their selves lose take them out individualy and put lock tight on them and that will tighten the column up my 84 ss monte did the same thimg love the videos guys

Nice mirror repair. Looks nicer than the Barbie one I got at a dollar store, broke the handle off, and stuck it on my truck temporarily, which turned out to be two years.

The steering column needs the reverse torque tightened thru the holes behind the clock spring you can’t get to all 4 but you can tighten three of them so it’s not loose at the tilt part I’m sure someone has said this tho 👍👍old school mechanic 👨‍🔧 speaking 🧐🧐😂😂

On a Capris the rear quarter panel window goes to a point..on an Impala SS the quarter panel goes into a curve ..

Should’ve stopped and got some spacers for the springs. Like $20 or less and super easy to install. Always a good thing to remember when you’re driving older “boats” on big wheels.

Phantom and Shawn. Electric steering. You can put a Toyota yaris or prius Electric steering assist motor on the bottom of your race cars steering column for next to nothing. FYI it WILL work with out being connected to the Toyota steering module. It just defaults to 40MPH steering assist and thats more than enough for what we are doing. Also the turn signal cam is bad in that steering column ($10 part) and the 4 column bolts inside the steering column needs tightened to fix the wobble.
