I met her after one of the roughest times of my life almost a year ago. We became good friends and then chemistry happened. She told me she liked me a lot, I said the feeling was mutual. For 4 weeks I felt like I was levitating. We would cuddle, hug, hold hands. I could barely eat, I could barely sleep. All I wanted to do was talk to her, all day long, all night long. That was the best summer of my life, almost one year ago. Five days after our first date, she told me she didn't want me anymore, that we should stay friends. That was the first time my heart got broken and I cried for two days in a row. I locked myself inside the car and cry because it felt like a knife going through my soul. I was completely crushed down to pieces. Decided to stay friends with her because she was still important to me. Two months after that, in her birthday party, I met a childhood friend of hers, I thought she was a kind girl, maybe we should talk and become friends, who knows. And two to three months from that, this girl and I started liking eachother, and now we have been together for five months. Falling in love again (or, rather, allowing myself to) was one of the single most terrifying experiences I've gone through this year. It's absolutely soulbreaking when someone you care so much about tells you stuff like "You're so amazing", "I like you so much", "You're the best thing that happened to me in a long time" and then they just...throw you away like you're not even a human being. It hurt so bad, I couldn't even believe my current girlfriend when she told me that she loved me. It took me several weeks to trust in her words. But she has helped this broken heart to heal and I am so grateful for that. Love can be the most beautiful thing in the world but it can also destroy you. Whatever the case...love makes you feel ALIVE. ❤
Being alone is powerful because people are not usually striving to be alone with their own thoughts. Learning to embrace those thoughts while being alone will grow you into a better person. Don't find happiness in others. Embrace the good times with them, yes. But learning to love and improve while alone makes you enjoy the time you have for yourself.
