It's a good thing that he did find God and his life is say but too many times that's actually what happens someone great like Shawn Michaels that's whether hes a celebrity of sports celebrity or even a movie star they usually die from drugs and depression thank God he didn't become another statistic
I'm so happy Shawn got it together and helped himself imagine if he had died or some bad shit because of drugs or doing something crazy, good on you Shawn.
I'm 45 and he's still a hero to me. Got to meet him a few years ago, got an autograph (on my copy of the WWF Magazine with The Rockers'article), and my pic with him. He seems like a genuinely amazing, humble, kind, down to earth guy now. That was legit one of the best days of my life.
When I used to watch Shawn in 97/98, I just thought he was being a bratty snotty heel, not taking drugs. Now when I look at his stuff during those years, it’s so fucking obvious he was drugged up.

after watching most of shawn michaels interviews and other people shoot him or praise him i even have more and more respect for him , he took the decision to stop drugs and solve his issues then returned back to the ring and stopped doing drugs and all this bad stuff and his ego was way less than before also solved his problem with bret which i consider it vince and bret's problem now i know why he said in the hall of fame ceremony that he is going to the hall of fame with absolutely no regrets .
Shawn has changed a lot. He's more humble now. Instead of being a ripped hunk, he now looks like a long lost member of the Robertson family, and, sadly, is no longer that charismatic of a talker. He stutters and bumbles a lot. But he seems like he's become a nice, humble, average guy as he got older. And glad he doesn't seem like you're typical Christian that preaches his faith to everybody and preaches how we should be. Mad props, Shawn.
No way. Cannabis that's high in CBD is great for that kind of thing. One of my friends fucked up his back at work and was able to recover without popping painkillers by using CBD's.
It's crazy cuz I'm watching the episodes of raw from 1998 and he's doing commentary there and he doesn't look like he's on drugs at all. Like you would see it in his pupils right away. I didn't see it. Wow he must have been really good at hiding it. I had no idea he was in pain inside and outside. He is one of my fave wrestlers of all time. I'm so happy that he had help and hes here with us today.

Hes my number one favorite athletic wrestlers I mean every time he would do this super kick when they were jumping off the rope that was awesome that Shelton Benjamin one was amazing What if I had to rate a favorite wrestler over all it be stone cold
Yeah I really need to make some serious changes but like he said when you are ticking all the boxes (holding down a job etc.) needed to it's pretty hard to get out of it, especially when there is addiction involved, if you have a hectic life it's sometimes easier to stay in that bubble and keep doing it.
I don't think it was just coke as he kinda implied. I'm not here to start an argument but as someone who has been through the drug problems Michaels had I think the slurred speech might have been alcohol/heroin/pills...the jittery ego shit was prob meth and coke...thank god he found the right path and I'm proud that I did the same...drugs can ruin your life and I can totally relate to when he says about being high but acting normal when it comes down to it which starts with smoking weed and not acting high around your parents and goes to hard drugs and trying to act normal at work...applause to Shawn and to anyone else who beat drugs and alcohol, you are better than that!

It's pretty obvious the one who was hiding all of Shawn's problems wasn't himself, it's a whole picture.. Vince McMahon been keeping all of this from us while still doing their thing. Think about it Vince knew all along about the addictions because how couldn't?? and Shawn Still went on TV like if everything was all good. Kinda fishy right.
I don't think it was him hiding it, just that he was a very good actor and being able to portray a sober person on screen. Just as if an actor is to play a drunk, but isn't actually drunk. I think that is why people never really saw that from him. He also was so handsome back then so I think his looks played a big part where he didn't look like a druggie. Sean Waltman you could tell he was a druggie because he had that look, same with Scott Hall. Some have a certain look about them, but Shawn's looks of being absolutely gorgeous didn't have that druggie look.

When you have been in a dark place and somehow you seem to get the strength and good fortune for things to go your way and pull yourself out of it it feels like you have been guided by forces out of your control and you feel the higher power of the lords love. Could be fear we will always be afraid because life is scary and adult life is scary and stressful, when we're children we have blankies or teddy bears to comfort us but when we're adults most adults turn to religion as they're grown up blanky and teddy bear, to me religion is a form of self-inflicted mental illness but it's the only mental illness that's accepted in society but it's also the only one you inflict on yourself
