I usually agree with Atlas but fighter of the Year...hands down the Monster. He took down 2 Champions while moving up in weight in record time, PERIOD.
Got to go with Shingo Inoue as trainer of the year; between Naoya Inoue and coaching his less-talented son Takuma Inoue to world title back in April, that's just some king stuff.
Inoue moved up to 122 to fight the best fighter of that weight class, steven fulton. No tune up fight! Fulton was undefeated, young, and considered one of the best. He got demolished in that fight. He lost every round and got TKO in round 8. Then Inoue goes and fight Tapales in the same calendar year! Don't forget, Tapales beat the #2 guy of that division, MJ. Inoue KOed him in round 10 and becomes 2x Undisputed. How is this guy not fighter of the year??? Ya crazy
@@cmbambafu7625thank u ...they will fool these casuals with these bullshit ass aculaides how is he fightervof the years Bud beat a true savage as if he was nothin...that accomplishment in it self u gotta give it to Crawford fighter of the year...not best n a division soence was 1 or 2 on p4p...smh hate yall
@@cmbambafu7625y’all would say anything to discredit someone, you can’t duck or cherry pick in the lower weight classes like that…And if anything most of the upper weight classes is weak, especially Heavyweight and Cruiserweight… Super Middleweight and Junior Welterweight is the only shits worth watching 😂
Inoue is 2x Undisputed and 2x Lineal Champ in different weight classes under the same calendar year. Naoya Inoue definitely Fighter of the year. But nah, don't give him his flowers because ya'll never watched anything under 130lbs. Crawford is a beast and sure I can give him P4P #1 but Fighter of the year? Nah. The same people who used to drag Crawford saying he's fought only bums are now saying he's been fighting murderers. The bias against boxers outside the US is too true.
I could listen to these guys all day. They have so much passion, they have the gift of story telling, they bring to life boxing just through their words, memories, assessment, passion, experience.
Bud has been my fav for a few years and what he has done is special. But what Inoue is doing is just different. He is going through one world champ after another with no tuneup fights. He even carried Tapales for several rounds. Coulda finished him in the fifth or sixth easily. I still don’t think Inoue will end up at 147 like Manny, but so far nobody even belongs in the ring with him. It would be like Bud beating every single opponent like he did Spence. One sided and not competitive at all.
Fighters been doin this for years now...mayweather pac Roy Jones went as far as heavyweight champion...Evander holyfueld so wat is he doin that's so unbelievable...sthu
Its easily Inoue anything else is ignorance or bias, he not only became undisputed by beating two unified champs, but he also did it debuting at the weight with zero tune ups to settle in the weight. Crawford had a great performance but Spence was overhyped. In reality hes really around Fultons level, for more clarity that his pfp status was all hype Spence has the same amount of belts as Artur beterbeiv whose way more dominant in his wins than Spence and no one has him on the pfp list letting alone top 5
@@PatrickCole-md9bu p4p is an opinionated list, anyone with common sense and ACTUALLY WATCHES BOXING knew that he didn’t have a chance against Crawford and was overhyped.
@@PatrickCole-md9bu Top 3 with only one division being champ, poor activity with an average of one fight for year? Aside a broken brook, Spence was heavily favored in all his fights. Crawford was really his first pick em fight and you seen him show little skills when he's not the bigger stronger man, which is what goes against his pfp case.
Unfortunately so far it's not looking too good Japanese Boxing Commission released the latest news on Anaguchi in the morning of Dec.30 in Japan. Here's the translated text: The Japan Boxing Commission announced that Kazuki Anaguchi underwent emergency surgery for a right subdural hematoma after a match held at Ariake Arena in Tokyo on the 26th. The boxer is unconscious and currently under (medical) observation.
@@neyneyganeyney6046oh noo man I hope he has a speedy recovery. When 2 warriors go at it the way they did in the ring it’s really dangerous. Tsutsumi was bleeding like crazy for like 9 rounds straight too.
Teddy is a Homer! Inoue moved up a weight class and fought two fights against two unified champions and got KO's to become undisputed champion for inoue's second undisputed title in less then 13 months. FOTY 100%! Without a doubt!
@@sincitychrisLol welter is so overrated, Ugas with 4 losses to nobodies became a champ, Should've beaten porter and gave Spence hell. What's even funnier is Barrios who got stopped by midget tank is doing damage at welter 😂.
@@sincitychris Lets be honest, you just dont know anything about boxing and thats ok. Clowns always out themselves when a non Americans the best fighter in the world.
Crawford fighter of the year. Not only cause who he beat and how he beat him, he also had to team up with Spence to fight Hayman just to make the fight. Japanese fighters don't have to deal with these greedy wrecking balls and their hired online agents destroying the careers of gifted American fighters and destroying the sport.
You know as I’m sitting here thinking why so many people dislike inoue besides of the whole race issue? I think deep down a lot of fighters dislike inoue for how humble and modest inoue is. They hate the fact that he doesn’t talk trash to his opponents and that gets to them. Also they know how damn good inoue is but don’t want to come out and give him his credit.
Great show love hearing you guys when I’m working. I would love for you guys to put your picks in the description so we can refer back to them after listening! Keep it up guys
Yeah agree shingo inoue trainer of the year . Both his sons are world champions with naoya undisputed. Although teddy mistook shingo inoue for his namesake who's an ultra marathon runner. That's not naoyas dad

TEDDY did you see who he fought. He fought a great athlete who was damaged in unsurviable car accident. For me to tell you to do your homework?? Really?? No wonder Tyson ditched you.
With due respect to all coaches, all time fame......my pick is always Inoue, tapales gave him hard time, intially with high guard, than with Philly shell style and also hit him with hard punches many times. But must appreciate Inoue who took it very well and adjusted and adapted to his style and finally cracked him....to me a best boxer does this, change and adapt. Inoue with every fight is improving, that is a sign that he is going to be GOAT soon. He has achieved undisputed championship in two weight categories in shortest time ,looks he is the only boxer to level many Pacquiao perhaps. I really laugh when people say he is not punching hard now like Tyson or other higher wt division boxer, however hard you hit if it is not with, right timing, right place, right angle, right technique ,right speed,it is not going to produce knockout. Tapales most of the time was not attacking, infact looking for counter, coz he knew the power of Inoue,so Inoue found difficulty in catching him . Times to come people will talk more about Inoue.
Naoya Inoue is too good and his little brother is a champ and strong but he's hiding in his big brother's shadow lol Naoya said if they fight physically and not by boxing rule, his little brother is most likely stronger lol.
I'm surprised Zhang vs. Joyce II wasn't mentioned as a possible KO of the year. It matters that the guy that was stopped was previously thought to be practically invulnerable.
I agree with Porter. Naoya has knockout of the year. Opponent knocked out unspectacularly twice. He did not want to be the victim for this award. He gave in on both knees, "please dont posterize me, leave me with some dignity. Hey just do the Stooges punch.....boink me softy my head. I will pretend to go down.
Whole lot of BS. Spence was messed up before the fight. Crawford wasn't nothing special. Shawn didn't even try. Even his father said he wouldn't train proper.
pauli saying his grandparents had fight of the year on christmass had me dead.. ha ha ha. I'm sure lots of us could make that claims about our households
Elijah garcía is a better prospect than any of the fighters they mentioned in just one year between the age of 19 and 20 he made it to the number 2 ranked fighter in the WBA Sanction, he’s only 20 years old and he has it all, the most terrifying part is that he hasn’t hit his man strength yet but he’s such a devastating puncher. Elijah Garcia prospect of the year
Apparently, best fight of the year means a hard hitting contest with lots of ebb and flow. Fights that lacked those elements but displayed even higher skills and better demonstration of the sweet science don't make the cut. That means Terrence Crawford's total dismantling of Errol Spence didn't make these guys, lists. I am hard pressed to understand why the Crawford-Spence fights isn't the fight of the year on everybody's card.
Maybe that sort of fight should have a separate category- performance of the year. Instinctively it feels wrong to have a one sided beat down as a great fight. But it was a great performance by Crawford.
I didn't know where to inform you! *IMPORTANT* *BREAKING* RIZIN CEO Sakakibara just announced on live TV with Manny ''Pacman'' Pacquiao that he might be working on a Manny vs Mayweather 2 IN JAPAN
Yep - I agree with Shawn - upset of the year was Terrence and Errol. Not only an upset, but upsetting just what a demolition job it was. From everyone's 50/50 to 100/0.
Paulies wrong. Here in the U.K. we universally hate WARRINGTON for how he conducts himself in and out of the ring. Only his Leeds fans support him and thinking REALLY isn't their strong point.
Fighter of the year is Crawford. Not only because of who he beat and how he beat him, he also had to team up with Spence to fight Al Hayman just to make the fight. Hayman is killing the careers of boxers and killing the sport. The Japanese fighters don't have to deal with these greedy wrecking balls destroying the careers of gifted fighters and destroying the sport.
In the 2 weight classes inoue got undisputed in, nobody has done it yet before yet all i see is a bunch of people saying that lower weight class is trash and all nobodies. If that is the case then why hasnt the great fighters there become undisputed yet? Also fulton was considered a top 20 fighter on p4p list before inoue beat him and inoue made him look easy. All the casuals just dont know how good the skills are in the lower weight division and inoue KO all of them. This is a never seen before fighter. Crawford did great against spence but i dont think 1 great fight beats 2 good fights from inoue. Also inoue fought 2 dudes that were in top 3 of the weight division and to become 2x undisputed the fastest also is the cherry on top. Love crawford but hes too inactive, for how good he is he should be fighting twice a year to show how good he is.
I'll make it simple for yalls crawford fanboys. He beat an overrated p4p boxer who isn't even the same since his car accident. What Inoue did was AMAZING. If crawford wanted to be the best boxer of theyear, he should've done what Inoue did. Fight 2x a year. After becoming undisputed, he should've gone up to middleweight, no tune up fight, and beat Jermell and Tszyu and undisputed that weight division as well. That's exactly what Inoue did.
Bo Mac best coach of all times his staff are also best of the best and his fans in Omaha will be the best of the year. That’s another clue look at buds fans and look at the rest of the opponents Fans comp
Thing is, Errol didnt even look like a top 5 p4p that night, not even close, Shawn Porter or even Gamboa gave Bud a way better competitive fight, so honestly no idea what happened that night with Errol that night
Just to remind the hater in this comment section. Fulton, Donaire (twice), a first-ballot HOF, Tapales, Maloney, Butler. Just because you, like most of these people making the same comment, don't know fighters in lower weight classes doesn't mean they aren't good just means you don't know shit about boxing, as my boy Rummy says.😆
Charlo vs Castano 2 is ko of the year. It was for undisputed and the way Castano body betrayed him. He wanted to keep going but the way he wobble n folded , mannnn that was something special.
Crawford is the best fighter of this era. Not only the best of the best, but also the only one, standing up for all the fighters out there getting ripped off by those greedy promoters The only fighter that a massive Parade was put on to honor him. Never ever been done before. Crawford is on another level, in and outside the ring 😊
I like Shawn Porter a lot, but I personally think he's praising Crawfords performance against Errol Spence as an encrypted message to say Shawn did better with Crawford than Spence did!!!!!!!!! I see it in his face and gestures!!!!!!!!!!
Teddy is good, buf he is too much into himself. Who was wrong, you or Tyson. Tyson became better coach and trainwee than you. Nganou won the fight vs Fury. Teddy, stop hating on Naoya
People don’t understand nagounu r however you spell it is still a PRO UNDEFEATED FIGHTER IN MMA he has exp and boxing experience and boxing coaches. I don’t understand why his name r coach being brought up. Gtfoh
P4P Inoue or Crawford you can pick either one I wouldn't argue with you but fighter of the year Naoya Inoue 100% he had 2 great fights in 1 year. Crawford 1 great fight.
I think fighter of the year has to Inoue as well... but performance of the year has to be Crawford... he did the most unexpected thing in the sport against a 3 belt champ. I thought he would win, but not like that.
What about Bruce Carrington as an honorable mention for prospect of the year.... They should nickname him the Dynasty.... people over 45 should know why...,.
Not expected this observation from teddy....he is getting old....nothing taking away from bud but spence is not the same guy after serious accident he survived, doesn't have power to deliever and does not have endurance to take power punches.
