Mashallah. Mashallah. Sheykh Hamza speaks so eloquently and with such knowledge. May Allah bless him and his family. And may Allah provide Afghans the strength to rebuild their country and culture.

Obviously Afghanistan is in a mess it has been in constant war with invading armies for thousand of years. law and order, development, progress, prosperity comes when there is peace. We dont seek war but if it comes knocking on our doors then we will sacrifice everything. we will fight until we have victory or until we are no more. Most people would rather live under occupation so long as there is some peace i.e. Palestine. We would rather live in war and lose everything so long as i am free.

Afghanistan name was Khorasan. Language is farsi. Politics changed the name to Afghanistan and Farsi to Dari.

Yes, since he said that when Omer become Muslims which is simply referring to Omer ibn khattab(rth) and not mulla Omer who was born in a Muslim family.

Dear Shaykh Hamza Yusuf, Please do not refer to this country by its colonial name Afghanistan. It is Khorasan only and it encompasess north, central and Eastern part of todays Afghanistan that is geographical situated in Central Asia and populated by Farsi and Uzbeki speakers. Afghanistan is mostly refer to the regions south of Hindu Kush mountains populated by the Pashtuns of Pashtu speakers and it is part of South Asia. All the scholars such Imam Abut Hanifa , Bukhari, Muslim , Tirmizi, Al Ghizali, Rumi, the founders of Ottaman empire and many more were Khorasani and NOT AFGHANS. Afghan is pseudo name mostly refers to Pashtuns of Pakistan and souther and Easter of Afghanistan.( No offense to Pashtuns).

@JKN Pathan bai. You stay on your side. You Pakistani Pathans have no clue about Afghanistan. Pashtuns are 33-38% of populations mostly in East and South. North, Central and Western are all Farsi and Uzbki speakers the former Khorasani which Sheikh Hamza is talking about.
