As someone that only knows Shayna from WWE I found this interview highly enjoyable. So nice to see Shayna's personality and know a little bit more of what makes her who she is. She seems really honest, genuine and a hard worker. If WWE was smart, they would give her the push she deserves now! Also... LOVE, LOVE, LOVE RENEE!
i hope they keep her and NIa together for a while, seems like they are letting Nia be a goof ball and if they lean into that even more the straight man funny man combo could be really good, especially since they both legit can kick ass (that moment when Regi was trying on clothes and Shayna just looked down and shook her head as Nia was having a ball i thought man, there could be something really good here)

@@outwithcows8785 Charlotte has been taken off Wrestlemania posters recently, otherwise it'd be a foregone conclusion that we'll end up with a Charlotte Flair championship match of some kind. Even now, we know it only takes one segment on Raw for Charlotte to say she wants an opportunity for her to get it (or have Vince do it for her ala Wrestlemania 35). Their recent interactions have me psyched for an Asuka vs Shayna match, but who knows where that'll go in truth
Shayna Baszler deserves so much better. She had a omg she will fuck ppl up aura around her. Her NXT run is next level. Her main roster career deserves better. She should be a top champion. Seen as a real dangerous threat. I'm glad she gets tv time but I would push her as my monster female heel if I was the booker.

I miss Renee in wwe so much and Shayna has such a great personality. Can't wait for her to go solo on the main roster because she honestly has the skills to make it work. Awesome personality too.

The Hurt Business is more of a faction of black wrestlers if there is a female member it should be naomi or ember moon if she came back to the main roster
i'll be honest, when Shayna was in NXT i wasn't a fan of her. Then ever since she started teaming with Nia Jax and getting to know a little bit of her personality when she's on upupdowndown or doing raw talk. i actually like her now. she truly is a bad ass!! now let me grab a snack and watch this interview LOL
Now that you're more familiar with her, you should go back and watch some of those NXT matches and see how you feel about them. I loved her NXT matches, but I was probably biased because I was already familiar with her.

Shayna was trained by Josh Barnett and Shayna admitted that Josh Barnett made her cry sometimes in training on the Jericho Podcast a while back and that Josh was harder and tougher on her pro-wrestling training than her mma training

Oh man, this was such a fun interview, really felt like hanging out in someone's backyard with a couple drinks. Agree with your IPA opinions 100%. Shayna's always been a favorite of mine, back from her MMA career, and I wish she were getting more solo work. She's such a great, natural heel and always effective on a mic.
Renee, you bring such a warmth to interviews and just really engage with guests so well! I went down a rabbit hole of Shayna interviews a while back and it's been incredible seeing and hearing her outside of her in-ring person. Thank you for this!

I remember meeting Baszler and Duke at PWG, they were SUPER nice. As much as you're supposed to boo the heels, I'd never do that with Shayna based on that interaction alone.
This interview flew by. It's refreshing to hear Shayna say that she fell out of love with fighting, because you could see it in her last fights. It's a good thing she has Josh as a close friend, because she was born to be a pro wrestler. She took like it like a fish to water. She was an OG in women's MMA, and no she doesn't have nearly the name value Ronda does, but she's fully embraced the wrestling business. Her matches with Ember Moon were awesome.
If people are only familiar with her WWE stuff, check out some of her indie stuff. She took to the business so quickly. She had spots with some of the women in Stardom that will wow anyone. She clearly loves the business, too, which shows. Also, Shayna just wanting to keep her private life private is cool. Those who know, know. Those who don't, don't. Shouldn't public figures be able to compartmentalize what is private and what is public? I'd hate it to become part of some cheesy Bruce Prichard storyline anyway.

Once again I'm blown away! If only I was a producer or director. Every time I see her get into the ring with that mouthpiece she makes me think predator and I worry about the safety of the other wrestlers. That's a compliment. Renee, she's simply the perfect interviewer.
And here I just liked her more than Rousey when I thought she "payed her dues" in NXT (as opposed to just showing up on the "main roster" like Rhonda did... Now I have even more respect for her knowing she did the Indy thing and lived in Japan (and doesn't seem to have brought any of their BS back with her).

Shayna is the best there is right now. She needs one of the main titles ASAP. Let her have a dominant run like they used to have, not these 14 day and 30 day champs. She deserves it and the WWE will be better for it.

As a Belgian, I am also a beer snob and happens to also like whiskey. I don't really like bock but I like dark strong ale, I recommand Chimay bleue that you can find like everywhere here but I don't know in the States. Here it's like common shit, but honestly it's hard to say it'sn't still one of the best. Recently I had the chance to taste a special edition of it, fermented in Rhum casks and it was honestly the best thing I've had in years. Shayna is a charismatic being. I just love her smile and bad assness all the same. Lol she seems like a prankster a bit. But Shayna I would love to continue to see you succeed in WWE you really changed the game for women wrestling you made it possible for Ronda to succeed in it. Idk I just see so much potential in Shayna.
Shayna Bazler is one of the best wrestlers on the planet (either gender) she brings legitimacy and is a natural. I hope Vince realizes what he has in her, she's a better pro wrestler than Rhonda Rousey IMO.
