they may have been a little worried but they were definitely playing it up for the cameras. If they were really THAT worried they'd have all tried calling him. And if it really messed them up that badly then that isn't friendship, it's codependency.
@@jowamowa talking about doing something is not the same as actually doing it. If that were the case I'd never work a day in my life. I'd just talk about working and get the money.
@@showaker4755out of all the people to be mad at for commiting to bits and being ok about it, you get mad at the one group that does bits for a living. Nicley done genius
My favorite part is Noah finding reasons like “I know it’s none of our business, but I saw him look at his phone before he left” “maybe it’s family business” lol. I love him, so genuine
@@jexelbur6872he was just a preppy asshole type of character in icarly I don’t think he dated anyone. In the movie Dear Lemon Lima he plays an asshole boyfriend who dumps the main character in a really mean way.
@@gemmacadd2252 that sucks :/ flashback is fun but lets do this is so endlessly creative and gave us so many good moments, new moments, not moments dependent on the past.
literally! i was sitting there almost fully convinced he’s just secretly a douche because he knew all the right things to say but then i remembered he’s like, a legit actor who’s been on legit things like icarly
@@fyoutube2294 it's always the nice guys who know how to play the douchy characters since they're the first ones to notice them in a room. Jerks are seldom that self-aware.
@@taptaptapsTo break the joke for a sec: There is a moment in one of the Smosh mouth episode where they were playing off of out of context clips of podcasts where he pretends to have beef with Ian (Can't remember the episode but I guarantee it's in their clips/tiktoks?)
I have a certain ex who, if I ever saw her again and she said "I don't want to fight," I might need someone to hold me back from bitch slapping her. And I'm generally a pacifist. So triggering.
Could be worse. Only time a woman has ever told me she loved me was in a text where she proceeded to basically have a breakdown over the idea of having fallen for me, specifically, and how she had to cut contact. I was like, "Ok. Bye I guess?" Because how the fuck are you supposed to even take that?
@@thisdude9363 My ex reassured and promised me she'd never ghost me, since it'd happened before and I had trust issues over it. So I trusted her. Literally a week later she texts me and says "I can't take this right now. I love you so much I'm sorry." And just cuts contact, I didn't even get to reply before she blocked me. I will genuinely never understand why people do that. I'd take a normal breakup, a mature breakup. It's just cowardly to ghost people.
This bit was so funny but are we gonna talk about how concerned and sweet Noah was like, “maybe he was sick from exhaustion i saw him check his phone”. Noah’s so sweet.
I'm pretty sure he was in on it, so just playing his part. Not to say I would think he wouldn't be concerned for his friend but pretty sure this was acting :D
noah seems so sweet with the ‘its none of our business but’ even though shayne is kind of wasting their time and interrupting their shoot.. what a sweetheart
The production team knew about this, you can tell that they were covering for him and telling ian they were "looking" for him bc ian looks at them like "i hate you guys" So it was planned, he wasn't technically wasting shoot time
I mean... if your friend and co-worker suddenly leaves the workplace without saying a word and the first thing you think about is him wasting your time, you're kind of a dick...
I think one reason Noah seems to be so genuinely worried about Shayne is that one time years ago when Shayne got broken up with the night before a shoot and every second they were not filming or rehearsing he was just sitting somewhere off-side just completely deflated. It was only much later that Shayne told the rest of the crew why he was on such low energy that day. So I guess Noah might have been remembering that story and be worried about something similar having happened.
@@eblenke7360 was it? Wasn’t that after Anthony left? Bc I think shayne said he had his breakup like the day before (something like that) Anthony left, and isn’t the Wild West Summer Games where he makes one of the earliest “where’s Anthony?” jokes?
This episode was a journey for Amanda. She goes on to learn about all the variations of "deez nuts" jokes in the next bit, for apparently the first time in her life.
@@CorvusCorone68 People keep mentioning his psychology degree. I want you all to know that getting a psychology degree is NOT difficult. It's is by all means an entry level degree and that's one of the main reasons that psychology is often considered a pseudo science by doctors. It has snuck its way into the hearts of modern medicine though the same way certain 'politics' recently have.
4:28 had me *reeling*. I HAD to go back and see who was right. Amanda wasn't the first one to ask, quote, "is this part of the bit?" (Ian, 0:54, which Amanda may not have heard?) BUT!! SHE 100% WAS THE FIRST to suggest how it would make sense with the "breaking up with you" bit. She had the key insight: "is this how he breaks up with us--he just leaves?" (1:34) The way Ian reacts at 1:37 shows he hadn't come up with it, and wasn't referencing this specifically at all.
ian is just naturally fast with sensing trolling shit cause he does this all the time lmao i went back too. it was amanda that realized that it was connected to the breaking up thing but ian had the sense immediately then noah said no so ian backed away from that idea
Yeah that pissed me off when Amanda said that as well. They have it ON TAPE of Ian noticing this is a bit. Her extreme indignation that Ian noticed it first was very annoying because Ian straight up says it’s a bit, and Amanda just says, “I think he didn’t feel well.” She only realized it was part of his break up strategy BECAUSE at 1:27 Ian says, “what kind of prank is this?”
I was with Amanda on this one I needed a shower from this bit, the first time I saw this some part of me was like “I wonder if the cameras weren’t rolling if Angela would have lunged” like THAT was a lot
I just got out of a relationship and my ex said the exact same thing. BAR FOR BAR. when he broke up with me. absolutely insane my mouth was agape and I was cringing the entire time. eugh
Shayne is the kind of guy whose corpse you'd have to see in person in addition to a DNA test to be absolutely certain that he was well and truly dead and not faking it. You'd have to be a sociopath to even conceive such a plan like this.
I love how Ian is the first to clock on that it's probably a prank. Like at first he's concerned for his friend and employee's health but after a bit of thinking and realising he's probably fine he's like "Alright what's this little shit up to now'
As amazing as this was, I don’t think any can ever top my own personal experience of my ex ghosting me for 2 weeks straight, then randomly and out of the blue texting me “How are the birds?” (I’m a PhD student who works with birds for context) and then when I asked him what what’s going on with him and why hadn’t I heard from him. He literally responded, “I’m doing good. Been taking some time to really find myself, you know? I’m in a really satisfying and committed relationship and it’s been great.” This was immediately followed by a second text that read, “Btw, have you seen the latest episode of What If..?” (As in the Marvel show on Disney+; we’d binged watched a few episodes on our last date”.
@@moonriverinc7896 it was a VERY short relationship; only a month. We met on a dating app and my friend and I have a theory he was seeing this other girl the whole time because it just sounded so weird and also, who the hell suddenly gets into a “satisfying and committed relationship” after just two week. Like, he had to be seeing us both at the same time. But he should honestly count himself lucky that things turned out okay on his end because I’d been to his house a few times and knew his address and when my best friend found out she was all, “Where does he live?! I wanna go fuck up his car!” …….I told her we were taking the high road on this one 😅
Amanda did not, in fact, know it was a bit until Ian had repeated it for several minutes. She was doing the whole “I knew it the whole time” so as not to be wrong type of thing.
Honestly it was a genius bit because this actually happened to my cousin. Her bf moved out of state without telling her and left her a video message EXACTLY LIKE THIS. It was absurd. Just like this bit.
He really did make them feel broken up with. Mostly Amanda. That's both brilliant an right on the line of not okay. Noah just goes into instant inspection mode. and Ian just want to wrap. I think he kind of knew as soon as they said keep rolling and didn't want to spoil the bit.
What Shayne pulled is literally just a mildly over exaggerated version of how my first ex broke up with me. I feel for Amanda, when she was like "I feel sick" I was like "me too girl. Me too."
Can we just acknowledge how nice of a boss Ian is? Like they're all paid, he manages them, they all actually work there, they all help each other make a living and this took up valuable screen time, but hes still just like "Its probably a bit, we'll ride it out, if not then I hope he's okay." LIKE WHY ARE THEY ALL JUST ONE BIG FORGIVING FAMILY its too wholesome
I swear Amanda is a queen!! Bro! Dude I freakin love her energy! Shayne and Amanda are literally the best two people in smosh their talents are amazing 🎉❤
