No he didn't. He openly admitted he already did an antagonist who has similar powers as Shazam in the first Movie with Dr. Sevana. He wanted Black Adam as the villain in the first movie. When that didn't work he stopped caring about Black Adam entirely.

Think of it like this, once the wizard grants someone powers, they can’t forcefully take it away, only the champion has the ability to do so, they knew he gave the power to his father and they obviously had no problem with it or they would have tried to lock him up sooner, they only had an issue when he started moving crazy with bloodlust, not their first choice of course but their first choice lead to destruction.

I haven't seen either movie yet, but from what I read, I agree that Dwayne Johnson should have allowed himself to become part of the Shazam franchise rather than trying to separate his character from another who's had a long shared history with him. Nevertheless, they did reference Black Adam in the first Shazam, right before the wizard Shazam gave Billy his powers.

It's just that they needed to keep cycling through people with the Captain Marvel name to KEEP those rights. And only with Carol did they finally get someone who worked with readers.

The Wizard *did* tell Billy about his fallen Champion, in the first movie, but no one bothered to inform Billy that the guy had come back. What I have to assume is that Freddy, of course, heard all about the superhero in Kahndaq and almost definitely geeked out about it, but he got tuned out.

Correction: Shazam actually did mention Black Adam, in the first movie when he told him the history, he mentioned that they chose recklessly by giving the powers of Shazam to Teth-Adam. That is literally the only connection with the two characters in all three movies.

There was probably a reason why they don't want to do the whole wizards chose the wrong person path storyline. When I first saw the movie and it reached the point animated at 0:24, I was thinking: "okay, Billy can't get through the force field and Freddy lost his powers... why doesn't Billy just fly a bit to the side to be directly beneath Freddy and say 'SHAZAM' to call down the lightning so it hits Freddy?" Granted, that would have worked in the comics, but if the film used different rules it would just electrocute Freddy.

Production credits don't mean anything- there are a number of reasons a person can be given a production credit, even if they are barely involved in the movie; in this case, he was attached to a Shazam character and the success of the Shazam! movie probably affected whether a Black Adam film would be made at all, and he was only still in talks to play the role at that point, so it made sense to attach him to it for purely business reasons.

@@delta2015 La escena post credito no es parte de la trama de la sequela de Shazam 2. Todo lo del "ego" de Dwayne no son mas que rumores. Si realmente tuviera tanta influencia como dicen, hubiera puesto a Cavill dentro de la película (en Black Adam), pero los ejecutivos no se lo permitieron, hasta que hubo un cambio de productores/ejecutivos en la transición de poder en Warner de AT & T a Discovery donde se le permitió poner a Cavill en una escena post credito, con la Amanda Waller de James Gunn, por supuesto.

Have u guys watched DC League of Super-Pets yet? If not, u totally should, u could do a video where the Super Pets and every other animated animal character get their own Super Cafe. Also, have u watched Puss in Boots: The Last Wish yet? It is so good! U guys should do another Hero Swap episode where Puss in Boots is swapped with one of the characters from the Final Destination films cuz, u know, Death.
