She Bangs - Snapper Rocks Wednesday 19 April 2023 , the swell had more thickness and there were some epic tubes going down ...) Snapper Rocks Coolangatta Gold Coast Queensland Australia Surf Today Wednesday 19 April
I counted over 100 people in the line up over the length of 100meters no exaggeration, sat for 4 hours drinking beer from the surf club balcony on these two days. The next day was even close double that. Seen so many people drop in on someone’s barrel, don’t know how they don’t have more accidents.. was brutal lol
Sheeet!!! That homie at 0:24 or so rocked that takeoff. No shoulder hopping anyone, big set wave from the start. Looked like Harbor Bill back in the day. (Different ocean, ofc.)
on the shore they were probably kickin each other's heads in hahaha you could see that the bigger guy was pretty confident dropping in on the smaller guy
Some enterprising entrepreneur should put a floating pub out there just past the peak. All that down time bobbing in the line up trying to navigate the crowd would likely generate a pretty good trade of fed up surfers who'd eventually just say, "Fuck it, gimme a Fosters"
@@wodjism6699 anchors with boat motors on each corner … I guess kinda like a barge. Then you can navigate somewhat depending on tides/conditions. But then again I can’t imagine the toxic bilge a place like that would be dumping straight onto the reef
so much too mention.. not only hustlin for a wave, after a long paddle, if your luckiest to get a wave, im betting its alot tufr to read than it looks..takeoff barrel, cut up section &/or speed up to get a deeper, thicker, probably shallower and if your lucky enuf to make it, personally, that long paddle back makes much, much shorter&better to hustle harder for the next wave.
Surfer from Europe here, just wondering... do you Ozzies stick to the lineup principle here, or is it just 'one for all, all for one' ? (Like in most places in the Northern hemisphere)
Inside right of way, its crowded but most are shoulder hoppers, no problem. In the lineup. If you all sort of know each other, share it around. Up there no locals cause there is a million of em as you can see, only the x pros get a bit of leeway so it gets a bit out of hand. It's a dump really. Best head south to get away from the rabble.
In this place it‘s a shit show, but in other places with fewer people, etiquette rules apply. However you also have to consider the local pecking order. If a local in a bad mood burns you, don‘t be surprised, or annoyed. Let it go, and keep smiling.
Wait… no one out? How fun!!! I’d rather ride a closeout. People in the lineup like sewage flowing out to sea. How in any way is that fun? That’s the problem. Surfing is so much fun, that it is committing suicide.
