Adanna, I am what Wendy Williams calls a woman of a certain age. I am significantly older than you but I had to stop by your post and let you know just how much of a blessing that you really are. I too have struggled with my natural hair for a year-and-a-half. My super kinky coils recently drowned me in a day of depression after taking out my braids and watching the little bit of growth shrink down to a boyish looking head of hair. Thank you so much for sharing this style. I know this video is 2 years old but your pacing, patience and encouragement is what got me through! It took me double the time (10 hours) and others weren’t impressed (except for my mom lol!) because most folks these days doing their own hair seem to be at a professional level. But not me! I’m all beginner and can’t even do single braids. It was uneven in size, my parts were messy, but it was done and I was proud of myself!! Am attempting this again, this time with color (😬) and using the rubber band method for neater parts. My parts are already struggling lol, it took me two hours just to do big sections that I’ll blow out before parting. Praying the final result will be decent. My mom cannot do single styles and my hair lady is out of commission so I’ve got to do something for myself. Thanks so much for making it possible 🤎

I like how patient you are showing in details what your doing. Great for me who’s learning different styles for my 4c hair. I recently when natural still transitioning & my hair gets soooo tangled😭. I love how this springy Afro hair really gave a natural sophisticated look. This style is perfect for formal work banquets, graduation day, dates, vacation, board meetings, or any regular day. It’s for all ages too. I love that it is very suitable for unisex: it’s handsome for men or beautiful for women. I had so much left over from doing my daughter’s hair. My daughter is 8 years old and has beautiful thick 4c hair. She is also very tender headed and impatient. I needed to do her hair for vacation and this was perfect. I was able to install this style quickly and without any tears. I made hers a bit biggers and styled with ponytail knockers and bows.

I love this natural-looking and lightweight style. I inherited a thinning hairline. So I have to do some "fancying" to fill in those areas. Nevertheless, this style was easy and so beautifully me. Seeing it come together was fun. Thanks Girlfriend! With your help, I'm Rocking it myself!

This turned out so beautiful! I just did mine using method 2 and I love it! I did this style in preparation for surgery and it is exactly what I needed. It’s beautiful and very light weight. I know I’ll be doing this style again so I’ll have to try method 1 next time.
