As a martial artist, I tell my students often, "Know the difference between pain and injury." Kara's experience is definitely one of those times you treat it as an injury and take time to heal... Love watching y'all's adventures!
Kara, you throw yourself into everything with amazing enthusiasm. Being injured sucks, but you make an awesome support crew member! Allow your knee to heal and remember that no matter what happens, you have all your viewers behind you! x
Kara I started cycling the week you were doing this adventure. I had to walk up hills to get back to my car, I was defeated. That day you posted a picture walking up a hill. I told myself “even Kara walks up hills” You inspired me to get back on and try again. Now I am loving it and riding the hills.
I’ve been a silent watcher for a few years now, but I just loved how everyone came together for Kara at the end. It definitely speaks to her character because you know she would do the same for anyone! Also, the end with her crash had me crying laughing hahaha Love you guys!!
What a precious comment you have given here. Even if they don't get a chance to respond I believe they see how many comments they get and find each one precious. I read the comments because as you, I just Love these two.
Ahhh Kara, not only are you "part of the team", you're an excellent co-captain with Nate and you're awesome completing a bike ride or supporting your teammates!! Way to go!
As somebody who often has knee inflammation (genetics), I have all the respect for Kara for pushing herself through those days. It can hurt so bad. Mad respect! Altho, we all know already that Kara is a badass!
The shower scene had me crying from laughing so hard, best part of the video 🤣🤣🤣 I also love how supportive everyone in the group is with each other! Shows how genuine of human beings you all are and great friendship!
Sending absolutely lots of love to Kara (she’s incredible), but also let’s have some recognition for Nate! All that biking is not easy!! And of course he’s such an incredible partner to Kara, always being so kind and considerate ❤️❤️
@@amoldytortilla I prolly can’t go thru it. If she was crying in pain, that’s quite different but she was crying cause she was holding others back. That’s nothing to cry about. Save your tears
@@emilymartin5418 Throwing the obvious fact out there Is not bullying, Just look at his muscle tone, I hope this encourages him to get healthy. Having no body fat or muscular tone is worse than being obese
Kara, seeing you upset and beating yourself up broke my heart! You are such a strong and amazing woman! You’ve accomplished SO much and have really pushed your body. I’m so glad you have such an amazing support system literally pushing you through! This may be my favorite video. So many emotions. I am so proud of all of you! Great team work!
Kara, you are a warrior. Treat the injury to avoid knee surgery. Just being there for Nate and others, you can make more awesome memories. I’ve seen your videos, you are a trooper. Cheer the team on. What fun!!
Congratulations Kara, you overcame not only the pain, but your fear of holding the team back! Look how they helped you make it to the finish line. I always love watching your videos, because you two make such a good team. Love and Blessings to the whole crew who were with you on this adventure!
When I used to ride, everyone carried there own extra tubes, tires, changing tools, pumps, etc. Of course, we were roadies. Watching you guys ride, makes me want to ride so bad. It brings tears to my eyes😢
If you can’t get to Tuscany, there’s always RAGBRAI. The scenery’s not nearly as epic (nothing against Iowa, but c’mon… Tuscany?!) and the food might be a bit more “domestic” (🤷🏻♂️), but it’s still a lot of fun. I know ppl who bike the whole way every year, and others who do a few days every few years. It’s about the experience and the fun, not rules.
I said it in the last video and I mean it, I know that you both probably have your frustrations and arguments like the rest of us married couples but the love and support between you both is a breath of fresh air, I know she edits these videos and the little clips of Nate hyping her up and telling her how proud he is which she sees after the excursion and just the fact that Kara is upset that she wasn't able to push herself. Two of the most genuine people I've seen through a screen 💙 much love
Kara, I am so proud of you for what you’ve done already. Injuries happen; please know that the rest of the team are/were happy to have you, whether you’re part of the support crew or biking with the others. Highly doubt you’ll see this comment but have a final bravo from me!
Wow 3 million! Congrats kara and Nate. Your channel is growing so much. I love all your challenges. Been a sub for years Aww kara you broke my heart when you got hurt. I'm so proud of you
OMG CHARLIE!!! So good to see him again. Actually jumped up out of my seat with excitement when I saw him. LOL!!! So proud of all of you for completing this challenge, especially Kara. Way to finish strong. You are an inspiration. Love you guys so much.
This was an extremely rough challenge, I think you more than earned all the kudos that come with your utter sheer open mindedness to just try these challenges and events. Living your life unapologetically is not easy and filming it is even harder. You’re amazing Kara I hope you’re not too discouraged by this cause you’re amazing ☺️
Girl as many miles you done with an unknown injury most ppl willingly can't do a mile without injury be proud of yourself and y'all are awesome I don't comment on a lot I love your channel, Kara your a warrior
Aw Kara. It can be so frustrating to have your body stop you from something you really want to do, but you need to take care of yourself! You both are amazing. Great job!!
Keep smiling Kara!! You're the best! We're all so proud of you and the whole group too. It's amazing to be able to come on this trip with you guys virtually. Keep it up xo
Such a great video! I love how all your friends from past videos all came together for this, and especially love that they all supported Kara getting up the hill on the last day☺️. You should do more reunion adventures together.
This is releasing one week before my very first RAGBRAI, of which you guys inspired me to take the plunge and finally do! The timing is something else ❤ If I surivive, you may have convinced me to also try out the Tuscany Trail next year😄 Thank you guys, you are an amazing team!!
I have problems with my knee when I run or cycle alot. Rolling out the hip flexors rather than the It Band itselfs has been really useful for me. That vibrating foam roller is cool!
Kara, I’m currently walking the Camino de Santiago in Spain and dealing with knee pain myself. I’m feeling just how you felt, and watching you go through this validated how I’ve been feeling. Thanks for always as sharing….and so happy to see Charlie back!
Glad I saw this on a large tv! Helps show Tuscsny to the fullest! Kara, you have nothing to be ashamed about! You did your best and thats all anyone can ask for! I'm proud of you (and Nate/everyone else)!
Kara!! You are SO strong for knowing when to get out and when you are ready again, instead of just go through it and possibly hurt yourself further! Not many people know when to stop themselves, but you do. and for that you should not feel bad. i love both of you and hope you had a trip with memories for a lifetime
I cried twice at least and laughed a few times as well. My husband and I love watching your adventures and how you both get thru them with all your enthusiasm and challenges. We love to see all your friends support and challenge you guys. Thanks for putting together a great video for today we truly enjoyed watching!!
Send my wishes to Kara, I hope she starting feeling better right after she finished. Great Videos guys I can’t wait to see what’s next, i took a month break from y’all but I can’t wait to see more and more of y’all’s content!!!!!
I live for the super long videos. I enjoy watching you guys so much. Love you Kara & Nate! Stay safe but most importantly keep having fun and living life.
You are entitled to feel disappointed especially when you have accomplished so much! You are inspiring… both of you and we all are your support crew too!! ❤️
We will all agree that you never disappointed them and us because you are always so strong and enthusiastic. When we watch you guys light up our day and make it so much better! You are so amazing and will always be cared for and loved! We love you guys!
I loved the Tuscany Trail part 1 and 2. There are not many YT videos that have you feeling so bad (for Kara) one minute and laughing like crazy the next minute. Great job to all.
It is okay to not push yourself when you are in that much pain! I road my mountain bike on the centuries that we did because the gears are easier on my knees! Oh but the food! You guys had a fabulous adventure! Thank you for sharing!
@@krisersn3092 using your time to leave comments like this can not possibly be rewarding in any way. I see you leave nasty comments on other videos of theirs too. Can't tell you how to live your life, but you should go about finding something meaningful to do rather than trying to break others down.
Omg! So love Italy!!!❤️. Watched your Colorado trail vids, so this is a good sequel!!! ❤️. It’s an understatement to say that the scenery is amazing!!!!
I think I was meant to watch this video today, because I’ve been really anxious and upset about having a badly bruised wrist and hand after a fall 12 days ago. I feel rubbish about it, and then add to that feeling guilty for feeling rubbish, when I know other people are struggling with worse things. But this reassured me that it’s ok to take a break and rest. Thank you Kara, for your honesty and your humility 💛💛💛
Bring injured is so mentally difficult because your brain wants and needs to do it but your body can’t. I’m glad you mentally bounced back with the support crew and don’t beat yourself up in the future. If anything spend that time preparing yourself for the next physically challenging adventure!! You rock, Kara!
Actually if your knee hurts while pedaling - it may be because the seat setting is to low or too high. There should be a springiness on each turn of the pedal, if it's not there - try a different setting. The rule of thumb (or rather butt) is standing on heel with the pedal in the lowest position. Your cheek should be touching the surface of the seat. If it's not - change the setting.
I absolutely loved this video! The entire team was so awesome!!! The support. The love and the hard work was amazing to see! Good job everyone! I love how real these videos are!
What an amazing adventure and accomplishment!! I absolutely love your spirit that stays strong no matter what comes along. Well done, and thanks so much for taking us along.
This vlog made my week. I've been thinking about Charlie and wondering what he's been up to, and here he is. Obviously this is in the past but I feel like I manifested him... I blame rewatching all your old vlogs from the beginning 🤣🤣🤣
Kara you did amazing, the fact that you are up to do any adventure with Nate and your friends and put your body up to the test every time is amazing in itself❤️
What an amazing adventure in Italy! It felt like riding with you up and down the dirt roads, feasting on pasta, gelato and chocolate croissants. Love, love, love your life adventures.
I absolutely love that this was 43 min long. I started to get sad when I realized the video was about to end, then I tapped the screen to see how many minutes were left and saw there were still a whole other 23 min to go. I love following along on all of your adventures!
First, what an amazing experience with such a wonderful group of people including the support team that made the stop-overs so amazing; also to see you all pushing Kara through the last kilometres. Incredible...!
Kara! You did amazing! That is such a physically intense course and for you to pursue that is amazing in general, but to troop through an injury for as long as you did? What a trooper! We are all so proud of you! Circumstances don't define how successful you are, but it's your mindset. you have an outstanding and selfless mindset!
Awesome job! Make sure you get a bike fit done, it will drastically change how your body interacts with the bike and allow you to do much further distances in comfort!
I LOVED everything about this video!! Beautiful views, great people, funny moments and tender ones, and awesome TEAMWORK!! I was cracking up at the shower scene. 🤣 Kara, so glad you made it to the finish with a bang! 😆 Congrats on the ride all!!
Loved the video! Y’all really bring the viewer into the experience from the footage on the bikes, stops to eat along the way, the views, the struggles, and the successes. Inspires me to want to do more in my own life.
“…yeah don’t have any fun” Spoken like a true wife 🤣🤣🤣 Love the video and it is important you guys show it is not all fun and games. I’m glad Kara took it seriously and decided to heal and be healthy first. Such an inspiration! 👍🏻🎉
Hey Kara, I know how you feel... fell down the steps a couple of years ago and thought I tore my ACL. Pain was so bad I felt like life was over. Woke up one more and rolled out of bed only to fall to the floor in excruciating pain. My wife came running over to help me and I just burst out in uncontrollable tears. Probably because I have never felt so helpless in my life. She got me to the ortho doc who eventually figured out that it was just a really bad gouty arthritis flair up and not a torn ACL. I am way out of shape but had bought a recumbent bike through the pandemic and just recently a Lectric ebike with pedal assist to get back out and on the road. Cheer up! You did great and had a great time with friends and family.
Fabulous! Hope Kara's knee is in fact just overworked inflamed and not torn. Glad Nate did such a wonderful job of riding. Glad your support team was diligent helpful and fun! Nice video. Looks beautiful there. Can see why Kara likes Italy.
That first villa gave us memories of the one in Ripa! We expected Jerome to be on his floaty during that pool drone shot 😂 What an adventure y’all had; loved every second of it! Kudos to Kara for having her priorities straight at the finish line 🍾
To Kara: For those of us who are very goal oriented we learn to depend on our Will Power to power our way through difficulty... especially if we’re still in our 20s. In our 20s, we’re made out of rubber; we bounce back from any physical abuse we challenge our body with. Eventually we learn will power has its limits... especially when we hit our 30s. In our 30s we’re no longer made of rubber and moving forward, we learn to think things through, strategize, and most importantly, learn to accept when will power alone isn’t enough to see us through. Congratulations, you’ve crossed an important and valuable watershed in your growth.
