Ha?She made movies with Mr KOTTO,too?I wasn't awared...^^Could you patch me trough Ms Weaver's portfolio, instead? There is some pics i didn't have time to get yet,for my souvenirs and memories collection?..Thanks to you...
@@Dani-ICU-RN Pictures or episodes,no probs,i take..Starting the moment thoses pictures and videos are "uncanny" ones,lol.😉😏😋.Damn,it's true that she's been very charming.Even in 92,i would've felt straight on her,i guess.
I wish I could tell her thank you for all the joy she's given me through her work. I went through a severe bout of depression and bought all of the Bewitched episodes because they made me feel better. I believe she contributed to saving my life. I simply love her.
I'm VERY late to this page, but I had to leave a reply to your comment. I too love & adore her. And Bewitched is one of my all time favourite TV shows. I also suffer from depression. And have bought the entire box set of Bewitched. And, like you, the show has brought me immense pleasure. I often pop it on to give myself a laugh & a lift in mood. And I have several other box sets, from the 60's/70's/80's, that help in this way. Elizabeth was wonderful in her role as Samantha. I will always love her.
I was mesmerized by Elizabeth growing up in the 60s. She had such poise and humility. On one of the award shows she came out to announce a winner and was smiling, calm and just down to earth, nothing affected. I feel bad that she had such a troubled love life. RIP
I too grew up watching Bewitched. I met her in the mid-70s. I was a skinny 16-year-old with shoulder-length hair. Robert Foxworth and other notable stars were filming scenes from a Disney movie in a nearby small town and she was there with them. The location was on the shore of the Sacramento river. I approached her and asked her for her autograph. No makeup, no fancy clothes, she was dressed all in denim. But, she was stunning to this young man. Without hesitation she said yes to the autgraph and asked my name. She was having difficulty writing with the pen and paper I gave to her. So she found an old piece of wood in the dirt and got on her hands and knees to sign her name. I was taken aback that she would go to all that trouble. She gave me the paper. I thanked her and told her she didn't have to go to all that trouble. She gave me the Samantha smile and said "That's okay."
I can honestly say I had/ have the biggest crush on her ( since I was a kid… and I’m now 65 and still do!!!) she had a natural way about her and didi t seem pretentious or phony and I’m glad that seems to be the case. RIP SWEET LADY!!! ❤️❤️❤️
I knew her brother Skip pretty well when I was a kid. He came to my wedding years later...which was a pleasant surprise. A lot of stories...they both had that Hollywood childhood. Elizabeth visited a few times when I was around...extremely nice person...casual...and was fun to watch brother and sister go back and forth as only siblings can do. Good times...
@@jenniferharris-ux5vx She was very nice and witty. Years later I was helping out filling sandbags for an incoming hurricane...just going from house to house as needed. Around lunchtime, I ended up at a house...down a bout a mile from me. Start filling bags...next thing you know...Dawn Wells (Mary Ann) appears...it was her house. Served us all lemonade and cookies. Super sweet woman. Life is funny sometimes...
I met Skip too once in Patterson. Very nice man. I truly didn’t believe him when he said his sister was EM! We were looking to buy his mom’s house at the time.
Fun stuff, thank you so much for sharing your life story. We're happy to know that you're good acquaintance with Liz's brother and had a chance to meet her. May she find peace 🙏🙏
It's DIVA energy, don't you know, and only women who are DIVA's can express that kind of beautiful female energy. It is like she leaps off the screen to charm everyone in the TV viewing audience. And her looks reflect every bit of who she is.
In 1977 when I was 16 I knocked on her door in Beverly Hills she actually answered and couldn't have been nicer. She was so down to earth and not the least bit pretentious no one would do that today.
We're very happy to know that you had a chance to meet Elizabeth. Thank you so much for sharing your life story! What other types of video would you like to see?
A Beautiful star Gone to soon..Still watch her Bewitch reruns today at young age of 61. Love the series. Her and her costar died way to young..RIP to both
I grew up watching BEWITCHED as part of my childhood. It was wholesome funny entertainment. And of course her human flaws along with her natural beauty added to Elizabeth's charm, as well as her character's. What a pity "witchcraft" can not cure cancer, a twitch of the nose and presto, benign.
Nope, unfortunately it cannot , it’s still one of the many things in which no one will be able to find a cure for sadly because, there’s sooooo, many! However, with every 10 yrs therapies and medications advice but, also people don’t realize a lot of people that develop cancer because, of chronic diseases that tend to bring on these different cancers, which, I am sure can effect the way a person can manage their healing. I always wanted to be like her because, I said, if only with the twitch of the nose it would be nice if, we all could get things done that way!
@moeschorsch9656 "Learn to spell: CANNOT is ONE word...NOT TWO!" Per Merriam-Webster: This dictionary defines cannot as “can not.” The word and the phrase mean exactly the same thing: both are the negation of the very common and useful verb can. The only difference between them is that the closed form, cannot, is much more common. By the way, a simple period was all you needed in your first sentence.
@@sonyafox3271 Witchcraft is not something you really want to fool around with. It's demonic powers have a tendency to do more harm than good. Besides pharmaceutical companies would hate to cure cancer. There's way too much money in the treatment of it. Most doctors will tell you they won't go through the treatments.
Absolutely, we feel the same way! Thank you for sharing your sentiments and for watching our content. What other types of video would you like to see on Facts Verse?
I was 11 years old when I first saw Elizabeth. I was forever infatuated. I do not believe I ever missed an episode of Bewitched. 💔 Her loss broke my heart.
It is still entertaining, mostly because of Montgomery. But I watch it now with new eyes. How angry and threatening Darren always was, shaming Samantha for who and what she was! How meddling, domineering, and abusive the other characters (boss, neighbours, Darren's mother) intent on everyone being the same and/or obeying them! It's an allegory for fearful, conservative societies, making enemies (eg, of Endora) for no reason, hysterical about their imagined evils (eg, the children's magical abilities), and destructive in their obsession to dominate, oppress, and control. With the possible exception of Samantha's mischievous lookalike sister, no one in the witch community was out to get or harm anyone, but the mortals operated as though they were a dangerous threat just because that's what they thought. That's how discrimination works.
Best episode??? Taking a foster child to visit Santa Christmas when tabitha and her best friend became “ sisters “ And any episode with aunt Clara. I adored her. Uncle Arthur was way ahead of his time. Endora just so beautiful. When Esmeralda brought George Washington to the present The dream of telling Larry the truth Hard to choose. As an aside watching “ Endora” in an episode of twilight zone with No spoken dialogue is an absolutely amazing performance. Love love love bewitched ♥️
WOW. I didn't know any of this about Elizabeth Montgomery. I knew she was talented but didn't know she had colon cancer and passed at such a young age of 62. I still watch Bewitched reruns every afternoon. I'll be thinking of her differently knowing what she's been through. Still miss her.
Well, in her acting career, she certainly did quite the opposite of the traditional 1950's type wife! An charming attractive "witch" with supernatural powers! Something that would drive a "traditional" husband or father crazy.
Besides watching her on “Bewitched” as a kid, I remember her participating in a lot of game shows on tv. She always did really well on them, and I admired her intelligence, and friendliness, along with her beauty.
Elizabeth Montgomery was a legend and is an American icon. No matter how many flaws you point out memories she left with us will always be national treasure.
Thank you for putting this together. Elizabeth Montgomery was lovely and one-of-a-kind. She was an AIDS activist back when Fauci was called a murderer and the fast-acting cancer ended her activism. Bill Hicks was also silenced by a fast-acting cancer, and others. A CIA whistleblower and lab worker who worked with Oswald in the early 60s said fast-acting cancers were developed as an assassination tool, yet to this day few suspect nefarious motives behind any cancer deaths.
I am an RN. Unless you’re talking about exposing someone to a cancer causing substance (such as ionizing radiation) or toxin, I don’t know how you can cause someone to develop cancer. Assassins usually kill using weapons or poisons which are much quicker.
Bewitched was my favorite childhood show and Elizabeth Montgomery was my idol. I still think she is the most beautiful woman who ever lived. If I could get my hair to behave well enough to wear her iconic hairstyle I would still be wearing it today.
We're very happy to know that you're a fan of Bewitched. Thank you so much for sharing your life story. In your opinion, what is the show's finest episode?
Her beauty was boundless as well as her natural poise, grace, and talent. Those who were fortunate to know of her will not forget her. Thank you Elizabeth for the years of movies and shows.
I watched "Bewitched" as a teeeny lil kid and she was one of my first crushes...... I was devastated to find out years later that she had passed away so soon....
I loved the Bewitched sitcoms because of Elizabeth Montgomery and all the incredible cast of character actors who helped create the success of Bewitched with their talents and obvious support of Elizabeth’s acting strengths and skills. I was fortunate to have met her in her last years. I was working with Robert Foxworth at the time. She was as gracious, kind, regal, quiet and beautiful then as in her youth. I will always miss her. I m so grateful to rediscover the series Bewitched currently. RIP dear, sweet, lovely beguiling Elizabeth Montgomery! 🙏☮️💟🥰❤️
My favorite episode? Wow, too many great ones to choose from. One that really comes to mind is the episode where Elizabeth is acting as her alter ego, cousin Serena, who wants to win the intergalactic song contest with the wannabes hippy pop duo. That was fun, funny, creative, cleverly accepting of psychedelic influences, the civil rights movement, as well as women’s individuality and independence, while Darrin is frustrated by all these new modern issues. 🥰👍❤️
@@FactsVerse My favorite episode is when the Witches Council stripped Samantha, Serena, and Uncle Arthur of their powers and Samantha g[t them restored by facing down the Council. She was so strong in that episode.
Bewitched was one of my favorite childhood memories. I still watch the reruns today. I was even gifted a custom Bewitched backpack which I get a lot of compliments. I also loved all the characters on the show especially Agnes Moorehead as Endora.
That is a hard question to answer because I loved them all!! Now that I am older you see how Darrin was a hypocrite because he only wanted her to use magic when it suited his needs. I loved the Kravitses their nosy neighbors. “ABNER”!!! A very interesting and classic episode “Sisters at Heart” where Tabitha had an African American friend and a client was prejudiced because he thought her mother was Darrin’s wife and was withdrawing his account. Samantha taught him a lesson and Larry told him to take his business elsewhere!!
One of my all-time favorites. I'm finding out she did a lot more films than she was given credit for. She did a lot of very wonderful films and was a great actress. Films that have good plot lines and much better than some of the crap I see now.
We are very happy to know that you're a fan of Elizabeth. Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts. Which episode of Bewitched appealed to you the most?
Met her at her home in mid 90's or so working for a Christmas light installation company. She was the warmest, most authentic soul. She gave my brother and I a great tip and refreshing beverage. Her home inside was just that, very homey and warm, comfortable feeling, quite unlike the somewhat cold opulence of many of the other homes of well-to-do we had been to. SO glad to have had the privilege of meeting a truly special and rare soul. (PS: she was in the middle of working on this giant fake tree they had put inside her living room so it looked as though a tree had grown right there, it was awesome and she was just a classy, charming, kind lady.
My memories of Elizabeth Montgomery, how beautiful she was and how sweet, she spoke. I always watched the Tv shows in the 60's as a child and I still watching reruns. She was my favorite actress.
As a young child in the 60's in the UK I fell in love with Elizabeth Montgomery in Bewitched. She was so beautiful and funny and a lovely feminine role model for a boy to idolise. I wish she was still alive today.
Watching Bewitched re-runs now! Wholesome and still very funny, I adore going back in time for one. All the characters were great, but Elizabeth had a special extra 'magic' about her. Absolutely born to play this role. She's been a part of my life since the show's debut as I never tire of watching it and I am 65! 🌈⚡🌟🌠💥
I also grew up watching Bewitched and still enjoy watching the reruns to this day. Elizabeth Montgomery was/is my favorite actress. RIP Elizabeth we miss you very much!🌹
I grew up watching Bewitched n I clearly remember watching as my mom was busy in the kitchen making dinner - so in my mind I link the show to my mom n it's a happy memory that gives me comfort. I've been a fan for 50 years and still watch Samantha and Darren daily.
Yes. I wasn't even born until it was in its second season. But I watched it in daytime reruns with my Mother also watching it while she was doing housework or ironing clothes. This was in my pre school and kindergarten days. My older siblings were at school. So it was just me and Mom watching. I loved the show and always wanted to look like and be like Samantha.
I was 6 and a big fan of her in Bewitched. Life was easy, and she was charming. Lots of happy memories while remembering our family nights watching her show.
She did an episode on twilight zone, where she played a soldier in an apocalyptic future, the other actor on that episode who played her male counterpart was Charles Bronson. I stumbled across that episode late one night when I couldn’t sleep, and even so young, they were both so good God bless you both rest in peace.
Yes, they were the last left alive after a nuclear war. The name of the episode is "Two". Almost no dialogue, except when she says the word "pretty" in Russian
@@BangSwitch Yes you are right,I remember that episode and the era in which it was made, the threat of nuclear Armageddon was very real and Putin seems to be trying to resurrect that era.
I loved her in Bewitched. It saddens me to hear about her troubled life due to her father’s unacceptance of her talent. She was a natural beauty and great actress.
@@FactsVerse Thank you for asking me about what or maybe time period of actors in this instance. This TV shows like this time period. Fir example, I used to watch Gollian 🏝 Island shows. The old Brady Bunch Shows. The old Maude show was cute. Yes, I am in my 50s in age now so, thos good memories of the 1960s, 1970s, 1980s and the 1990s are where I am now a days.. Again, thank you for sharing and show some great shows from the past!!!
I'm such a huge fan of the Gorgeous beauty. Elizabeth was also soo talented. Even today I watch Bewitched and other movies she was in all the time over and over again. Always remembered never ever forgotten!❤🙏
My father met her on Hollywood Blvd in the early 60's. My father was a Marine Staff Sargent at the time. She was coming out of a store, I can't remember which one. My Father happened to be walking into the store at the same time she was walking out. My father was in his green class B uniform and obviously looking like a Marine. As she went over to her car, she noticed she had a flat tire. She remembered seeing my father walk past her and into the store. She came back into the store and saw my father and asked if could help with her flat tire. My father said yes, and went out to the car and changed the tire for her. She thanked him very politely and offered him tickets to some show in town, I can't remember what show it was, something at the Pantages Theater I think. My father politely refused as he knew he was shipping out to Vietnam in a few days. Elizabeth was one of the nice people you meet in Hollywood, very unassuming and friendly to everyone. God rest her soul.
Early years of Bewitched were the best. So many great episodes. We couldn't wait for each new "story." My favorite was her loving and playful relationship with Darrin. Also love Endora- she was awesome ♥️
The early episodes were the best. Better scripts, more focus on their marriage etc. In the 1st season it was filmed in black and white. Elizabeth looked absolutely stunning in the B&W episodes. Maybe part of that was also pregnancy glow (they were hiding her pregnancy in those episodes)
My memory of Elizabeth Montgomery was a sweet woman who talked with me on the phone when I was an 11 year old fan ! That year I received a 3 foot solid chocolate bunny for Easter from her!
I still watch occasional clips from Bewitched. The other day I saw an outfit Endora was wearing, it was so casually elegant that I want it. Bewitched is still enjoyed by so many people to this very day. I really enjoyed her post Bewitched career too especially The Awakening Land.
Bewitched was one of my favorite shows growing up. They reran the shows during the late 70's and 80's and I always tried twitching my nose as a kid. She was a true beauty in her her time. May she continue to R.I.P.
@@FactsVerse There's so, so many best episodes but in my opinion, the best episode is when Tabitha has a friend who's black and they called each other sisters and a little boy in the park says they couldn't be because Tabitha was white and her friend was black and she "magically" gives herself and her friend spots so nobody could say they weren't sisters. Being black it really touched my heart because there's so much hatred in the world. If we all could see past one's skin color and realize we're no different underneath our skin the world would be a better place.
Elizabeth Montgomery and David White, who played Larry Tate on Bewitched, appeared together in an episode of the untouchables. The episode was the Rusty Heller Story.
I thought that her acting ,when she portrayed Lizzie Borden, was excellent . It sent chills down my spine. The TV movie about Lizzie was so very different than Samantha in "Bewitched " She was a wonderful actress and seemed to have an bad luck with men. It's
Elizabeth Montgomery has brought many, many years of enjoyment into lives with movies and sitcoms. Bewitched can be enjoyed to this day on many cable networks. Thank you Elizabeth Montgomery for the many years you have entertained the world.
My stepfather drank himself to death after my mom passed from throat cancer. My uncle did the same thing (kinda) when my grandfather died. My uncle did have diabetes, he went on a beer bender and never bothered with insulin. He fell into a diabetic coma and never regained consciousness. I grew up only going to one funeral and it was for an uncle I had only met a few times, I’m only 43 but I’ve lost 11 relatives since ti turned 40. I’m glad I had so much time with them all but losing so many so quickly really stinks. We put down my 12 year old Husky Hanna last year to because of cancer. I got her when she fit in the palm of my hand, I still miss greeting me and all the howls. Her favorite song was MelancholyHill.
Aaron so sorry that you have had so many losses so close together. Life can be such a challenge. May you and yours soon find another canine friend and enjoy the riches to be found in that relationship. Hoping the warm memories of the lost family members sustain and support you in these difficult times. God bless and take care.
As a young woman, I watched her shows and enjoyed them a lot. Who didn’t want to be like her? She passed away young at heart and luckily did not suffer from her turbulent future life.
I've discovered from his podcast that Keith Olbermann and Ms. Montgomery developed a close friendship when she spotted him on a plane and reading a gift from his sister about Lizzie Borden which Montgomery had portrayed in a movie of the week. She remarked, "Oh Keith you're reading about me!" After inquiring if anyone was sitting next to him she sat down and they had a long conversation on various topics one of which was baseball which it turned out she was a fan of. After they landed and discovered he was en route to his parent's home she insisted he ride with her in her Rolls there since it was on her way. After arriving there she suggested they play a trick on his parents and he agreed. She knocked on the door and after it was answered said "Hi my name is Elizabeth and I'm friends with Keith, can he come out and play." Olbermann seemed genuinely impressed by Ms. Montgomery and said they remained friends the rest of her life often talking on the phone each month afterward. I never particularly liked "Bewitched" since I was entering my teens when it debuted and thought it was rather silly and absurd. But nevertheless, Montgomery was a beautiful woman, and frankly, what red-blooded American boy could disregard such a person and especially if she comes across as a very nice individual. The first thing I really remember her in other than that show was an episode of the "Twilight Zone" opposite Charles Bronson about two space travelers who are on different sides of a military conflict.
@@rick6582CNCMedicalParts You do know you always have the option not to watch or listen to him don't you? And I suspect you don't like his politics more than anything. And as to that he probably doesn't want an American Fascist to watch or listen to him. I'm sure you would like to have the political tyranny the GOP wants to impose on this country but those of us who are still loyal Americans will continue to resist it despite the treason most of those who agree with you have a penchant for and who seem more as if they were citizens of Putin's Russia. I'm constantly shocked by the number of Judases living in our midst. And mostly because they are belligerent racists and full of hate for anyone who isn't a reflection of their sacred whiteness. And you can be sure that I myself am lily white and a resident of the American South. I on the other hand don't like Tucker Carlson whom I'm sure you love exactly for the reasons I described!
I’m from São Paulo, Brasil. I’ve always been a huge fan of hers. Liz is also beloved in Brazil. The show ran from 1964 to 1972, just the time of my formative years, along with the Beatles. Very sweet memories from my adolescence. I’m now 69 and I still love her, though I’m now older than she was when she passed away.
I used to deliver Elizabeth and Roberts groceries in Beverly Hills back in the 80's. They were always nice and down to earth. Can't say the same for a lot of other celebrities I met over the years.
Having been born in the mid 60’s, my guy and I have always been huge fans of Elizabeth Montgomery. And the show Bewitched. In fact, my guy Gregg, is a bass guitar player in a rock band currently (pretty much his whole adult life actually). His son is a professional tattoo artist. The son recently collaborated with Gregg as Gregg wanted a tattoo of Elizabeth Montgomery in her Bewitched character. As the show opens and she’s riding her broom. Well, Greggs tattoo has her riding his guitar! It’s a beautiful piece of art! If she could she it, I think she’d be impressed by the detail work. Since the artist was born in the 90’s and never saw her in action.
In 1992, while working with Dick York on a autobio of his life, he and I talked to Liz on the phone (He called her Liz or Lizzie) She was so nice, giving us some stories of time on the set of Bewitched. Dick confided in me that he too we enamored in her beauty. I know I was. My Dick and Liz rest in peace. BTW while working with Dick at his hoe in Rockford, Michigan, Dick and his wife, Joey and I ate a few meals together and had many conversations of like in front of the camera. Dick was buried in the same cemetery as Joey, although not side by side. I'm gonna see to it that they are enterred TOGETHER as it should be. They were married many years and had 5 kids together.
Bewitched is a time machine that takes me back to my childhood. As a young woman in the seventies, I was the first generation that was raised to be a housewife, but was now expected to earn a living. The show takes me back to a time where the character of Samantha was always able to craft a happy ending by her wits. Even people who, in essence, had everything (witches), you still had constraints you must work within. Sam always found a way.
Elizabeth Montgomery starred in not only one of my favorite sitcoms, but also in my favorite episode of The Twilight Zone (with Charles Bronson). The episode entitled “Two”.
Elizabeth truly enjoyed working on 'Two' and was all-in for looking war-torn. She wasn't concerned about not looking pretty. I named my daughter after her--such an amazing woman!
Elizabeth Montgomery is the first women on TV that I fell in love with when I first seen her in Bewitched, when I was a child, she was just so Beautiful and so Good in Bewitched, and one of my all times favorite programmes, I'm 64 now and still love her as I did from the start, and will never forget her.
My brother was in a commercial w/Montgomery for a cookie that was sold in Japan ( it was delicious btw) She was a true pro who did her job w/o any ego & the entire shoot took only a few hours. I was quite impressed w/seeing thd star of one of my favorite sitcoms in person! I still put Bewitched on every day bcuz it's a witty, charming show.👍
I , like pretty much of the rest of the commenters, grew up watching Elizabeth Montgomery in 'Bewitched'. Loved her there ad well as Lizzie Borden, in the Twilight Zone, Johnny Cool with Henry Silva, Mrs. Sundance, and anything I could see her in. She was a class act & taken from us way to soon. To bad her father was so jealous of her. She went from a beautiful witch to a beautiful angel. May she RIP in perpetuity. 🙏💓😭😘
I’m a 80s baby but grow up watching reruns of Bewitched with my Mom and still watch till this day. Love Elizabeth, she was so beautiful and talented. One of my favorite shows ❤
I am posting this under my wife’s listing ; Bewitched was an awesome time for 17 year old to have crushes on older women thank you for the memories Samantha now i am 73 and married to a fabulous woman as strong ,determined and beautiful as Elizebeth
She was a star's star because, with that charm and beauty, she could knock you off your feet without half trying plus, she was talented. However, so sad that her personal life suffered mostly.
